Last week, students and allies spoke at the Florida Department of Education meeting to defend access to higher education for all. Proposed rules would bar undocumented students from Florida’s 28 public colleges. We will keep fighting for every student’s right to learn.

Nearly $1 billion in Florida emergency funds was diverted to build “Alligator Alcatraz.”

The City of Miami is considering a $450 million public safety bond while continuing its 287(g) agreement with ICE.

Mayor Eileen Higgins
promised to revisit this agreement during her campaign, but has taken no action.

Real public safety means all residents can live without fear.

At a public event this morning, @EileenHigginsFL was asked when she would keep her promise to end 287(g).

Instead of answering, she referred the young woman to her staff and had us removed.
