Today, Aug. 6, marks 79 years since the U.S. bombing of #Hiroshima. It was the first time a nuclear weapon had ever been used for warfare.

Just three days later, the U.S. dropped a second bomb on #Nagasaki.

The Open Air Detention Sites (OADS) along the US border with Mexico must end. US Port of Entries must open and allow asylum seeking migrants to present themselves to avoid the manufactured catastrophe playing itself out day in and day out.

@afsc_org 4 hours passed before private contractors arrived to pick up everyone. The private contractors handcuffed the men, in violation of standards for how CBP should transport people under their custody who don't pose a risk. From inside the bus, aid workers could see people waving.
