This week Am. Fish Soc. released a statement w/ 110 of world’s leading aquatic scientific societies urging governments and societies to curb greenhouse gas emissions now to maintain somewhat intact freshwater and marine ecosystems. #saveourfishclimatestatement. Now time to act.

With AFS meeting etc. coming up I didn’t have time to deal with this critter in backyard but it is what it is. Beautiful creature. Captured it, took way out in desert, let it go. Don’t try this at home, I had rattlesnake capture training back in the day. Sound up great rattle.

@LauraGExplorer Yep, I hear you on the fires! Crazy year. We live in Tucson AZ and we’re about 1 mile from the evacuation orders. The desert is crazy hot now with most days over 100F. Damn climate change! All the best Laura, and I’m jealous that you get to live near the ocean (UCSC). Enjoy!

@LauraGExplorer Thanks Laura I appreciate hearing from you. As an old salt, I naturally think volunteer, volunteer etc. However, after hearing from people I can see ultimately how the same folks can’t do everything and we may need to do both $ and volunteer work. Congrats on being subunit prez!
