Unverified research regarding algoblow culprit:

“In a conversation with [redacted], we noticed that the standard rekey transaction is usually performed using a transaction of type Payment + Rekey.

However, the attacker is using Asset Transfer + Rekey transactions.

Seven days ago, I scanned the blockchain and found the first account that used this pattern:

This account rekeyed to:

Two accounts appear to have been created with a similar naming pattern, both containing the name KADIR:

I keep seeing this “pera changelog” as well — perhaps they were updating or testing the inbox router initially, or updated the application and were testing?

I don’t believe ASA Inbox uses rekey transactions at any point for any reason. Is there a history of KADIR sending axfers with rekey to fields? And if so, is it needed for some functionality?

I’m not making any assumptions here, just asking questions.

If there is no rekey logic for any reason whatsoever starting from deployment for the inbox router and KADIR is testing axfers with rekeys (I’m not saying this is happening, I’m asking) I would say that is something to note.

If the HR4 was sending transactions that contain “Pera changelog”, and no other users are submitting transactions with this note except for KADIR (again, I’m not saying this is happening, I’m asking if anyone has checked) that is also something to note.
