1st doc appt with 4 day old...
Dr: Are you guys getting much sleep?
Husband: No
Me: Actually, more than I thought I would.
Husband: Well I stay up late to play videogames.
He should start sleeping with one eye open.
My father in law came over and asked 2 for a kiss and when she said “no” he said “gonna take one anyway” and my husband stopped him and explained that we’re working hard to teach her that her “no” has power and deserves respect and I’m not crying YOU’RE crying
I'm all for safety when it comes to caring for my children, but if one more doctor recites the ABCs of "safe" sleep or tries to shame me for co-sleeping, I'm going to scream.
Sleeping next to your baby is the most natural, wonderful experience. Humans have been co-sleeping

Daycare is an Investment, Not an Expense
"The finances of one parent staying home to care for children full-time isn’t only about the net income to the household for that year."

@LizOfficer In addition to this, I find it interesting that some people think that women, as they earn more, should strive to look like and accessories like Barbie dolls. I never hear comments about the things men should buy.

Almost as if having a safety net and universal health care makes people happier.
If you give a mom some coffee..
her kid will surely need a snack
And once she gets the snack
He’ll surely need a drink
And once she gets the drink
he’ll surely need to pee
And once she takes him potty
She’ll go to drink her coffee
And her coffee will be cold.

@victori_media But your Roth doesn't offer tax benefits until you withdraw during retirement. The $5500 limit is the total combined between Roth and traditional, so you can contribute $5500 to 1 or the other or divide it up to take advantage of the tax benefits of each.
