If Max had been penalised for one of his several previous offences during the Norris battle (moving in the braking zone multiple times, keeping a position by driving off track etc) then the accident (he also caused) wouldn’t have happened.

This is largely the fault of the stewards - who also nurtured Max’s sense of untouchability. #F1
