He led the Chinese Burma Expeditionary Force, rescuing 7,000 British soldiers and defeating the Japanese invaders at the Battle of Yenangyaung.

2023年，我写过一首歌，叫《这片土地开不出新花朵》。
In 2023, I wrote a song titled “No New Flowers Can Bloom on This Land.”

那是我对疫情封控时期种种经历的失望、愤怒与无奈。
It reflected my disappointment, anger, and helplessness over what I experienced during the COVID lockdown era.

旋律很优美，甚至有些欢快，但歌词却充满悲伤。
The melody was beautiful, even cheerful at times, but the lyrics were filled with sorrow.

后来，我把歌名改成了《这里开满新花朵》。
Later, I changed the title to “New Flowers Bloom Here.”

只是，“这里”已经不再是中国，而是美国。
Except that “here” no longer referred to China, but to the United States.

我依然希望有一天，那片土地也能开满自由、尊严与希望的新花朵。
I still hope that one day, that land too will be filled with new flowers of freedom, dignity, and hope.

在那一天到来之前，我们不应遗忘历史，也不应放弃对未来的期待。
