"The menstrual revolution, in any case, is in progress. And it will probably be the first in the world to be both bloody and peaceful.”
—Élise Thiebaut

I can't find much of a web presence for this press, so do your own due diligence, but I'm sharing this call for submissions because it's menopause-related, accepts previously published work, and has no reading fee
I swear to god I am going to make pamphlets will all the major, minor, & possible symptoms of perimenopause/menopause to hand out to women. Because we are not told about these things & doctors don’t warn us or have these discussions. Why is it up to women to inform one another?
Menstrual health is a vital part of humanitarian relief. Yet menstruation is often overlooked in humanitarian responses.
Donate today to help girls affected by crises have access to menstrual tools to help them achieve their “Vision for the Future!”

We get it. Love it, hate it, agnostic towards it - we all experience our periods differently. That's why we published the Stained anthology, covering the full range of menstrual emotions and experiences in poetry and prose.
We published the Stained anthology because maybe, just maybe, sharing stories of leaking through in the TA's office, in the outfield, on the jungle-gym, at the Punk show will maybe, just maybe, make more of us more understanding & empathetic. Maybe, just maybe, even change policy
1/ Gov. Tim Walz's detractors have dubbed him "Tampon Tim" because he signed a bill mandating free menstrual products in Minnesota public schools. The law addresses a genuine need—86% of menstruators have started their period unexpectedly in public. https://t.co/UT76HzNWSr /
Don't know if we should 😆 or 😭. "Hey babe, let's chill, order takeout, and play a game with our menstrual products tonight. Maybe MaxiPad Jenga? Or Pick Up Tampons?"
"Menstrual products were classified as an excluded item in the “lifestyle related” day-to-day living costs category, which includes cigarettes and vapes, gambling, musical instruments, sports tickets, trampolines and gaming consoles."

First menstrual products and now "post menopausal females." If you want to keep up with US election trends, looks like you need to be reading Stained!!
The "whole purpose of the postmenopausal female" is to be the free babysitter grandma theory makes the rounds because scientists haven't figured out why cis women live so long after we “lose” the ability to reproduce. So here's my theory
this project by @michelle_hamer about experiences of being dismissed, disbelieved, and gaslit by the medical community is so incredible and incredibly important. if you or anyone you know has had this kind of experience, you can contribute here: https://t.co/j2JrCZ7Dbz
