I remember coaching at an @AGE_UP practice in its first year and have been inspired by the organization ever since. I encourage everyone that is in a position to do so to support their donation drive. It makes a real impact on the lives of young people of color in South Seattle.

my job was to be reliable and consistent. my job was to help them think critically about their surroundings- about systems in place that hurt/help them. my job was to equip them with the tools to love and hold space for one another on the field and in difficult discussions. 4/7
though the things i did changed day to day, it was always clear in my mind that the true underlying role of my work was /meant/ to manifest in different ways. my overall job was to support the youth in my community and provide them a safe space to grow. 3/7
