Alliance for Gender Inclusion in the Peace Process (AGIPP) conducted “Self Care Training” for Steering committee member (SC) from 30th June to 1st August at the Best Western Green Hill hotel in Yangon.
AGIPP successfully held a meeting for work plan development from 19th to 20th of June at AGIPP’ office, Yangon. Committee members of 7 AGIPP’s partner organizations and networks from Yangon, Kachin, Mon and Shan states and secretariat team joined the meeting.
AGIPP has conducted 8th IOs/INGOs Coordination Meeting at Taw Win Garden Hotel on May 3. Before closing, attendees shared and updated about their working on Women, Peace and Security activities. 29 participants from 16 International and national organizations attended the meeting
AGIPP successfully held a quarterly Steering Committee coordination meeting from 1-2 May at Jasmine Palace Hotel. In the meeting, 14 committee members and secretariat stuff updated AGIPP’s activities and brainstormed to have a gender inclusive-security sector reform in Myanmar.
During Myitkyina trip, AGIPP's committee members and secretariat stuff met with women leaders from IDP camps and exchanged the opinions and experiences on the condition of WPS of Kachin State and discussed the possible ways to progress for WPS agenda in Myanmar.
AGIPP met with CSOs and some political parties from Kachin State in Myitkyina on February 9 and there has been a fruitful discussion between both sides on various topics including interactive presentations of the WPS activities and the issues faced by local CSOs of Kachin State.
AGIPP team joined to Nordic day hosted by Nordic house in Yangon on February 9. We as AGIPP team showed up and disseminated our WPS activities, visibility items, policy and analysis papers in that fun day.
AGIPP conducted a three-day training on “Gender and Security Sector Reform” from February 14th to 16th at Green Hill hotel and lectured by Security scholar Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo.
