โ When the full-scale war disrupted Ukraine's agricultural supply chains, #USAID_AGRO stepped in to help agri-producers restore and expand market access. Working with businesses and professional associations, #USAID_AGRO creates opportunities and new export routes.
โ #USAID_AGRO helped 5 industrial potato hubs increase processing capacity by 32K tons annually.
In 2024, these hubs worked with 45 agroMSME potato producers, purchasing over 10K tons of potatoes through contract growing models. In 2024-2025, >270 MSMEs received seed potatoes.

โ In 2024, to tackle grain storage issues, #USAID_AGRO partnered with 24 elevators across Ukraine, increasing grain drying capacity by 620K tons &storage capacity by 600K tons per cycle. Since 2024, these elevators supported over 500 MSMEs, handling more than 550K tons of grain.
๐งบ Additionally, in 2024 #USAID_AGRO introduced practical recommendations for implementing carbon farming practices piloted on six demonstration farms and proposed a financial model to help farmers assess the economic feasibility of these practices.
๐จโ๐พ In 2024, #USAID_AGRO supported Ukrainian farmers by providing fertilizers and seeds for spring and winter sowing campaigns. Overall, between 2023 and 2024, over 19,000 farmers nationwide benefitted from our input distribution programs.
๐ฑIn 2024, #USAID_AGRO turned its attention to seed production in Ukraine and studied the seed production market to foster breeding, certification, and sale of domestically produced high-quality seeds.
Jan to Dec'24, >5K land plots (44,600 ha) were leased, 48% more than 2023 generating UAH 804.6 million in community income, including UAH 386 million from 2024 leases. Local budgets received UAH 30.7 billion in related taxes, 14% of community tax revenues (up from 11% in 2023).
Since the market's launch, 305,200 transactions covering 684,500 hectares have been recorded. In 2024 alone, 103,300 transactions were completed for 232,300 hectares, representing a 37% increase in transaction numbers and a 46% rise in land area compared to 2023.
Legal entities boosted market capitalization by UAH 340.7 billion ($8.2 billion). In 2024, 1,446 legal entities purchased 50,000 hectares across 17,200 land plots, accounting for 21.3% of the market. Legal entities paid 20-50% more per hectare than individual buyers.

Since 2022, #USAID_AGRO's Consolidated Communities project has delivered over 2.5K tons of aid to support almost half a million people! In 2024 alone, we reached 893 communities, delivering 733 tons of rehabilitation materials, seeds, and organic sorbent for moisture retention.
