Congrats to the AGHS PE Dept who were awarded a $5800 grant to purchase six Concept2 Rowing Machines. The rowers will offer alternative cardiovascular workout options to further prepare all students, including those with special needs, for future-ready health goals. @AvonGrove_HS
AGEF has awarded a $3,500 grant to Ashley Penn! The grant will allow 10 AGHS students to attend the SEL Ambassadors Retreat, an invite-only event for the most invested student leaders across Chester County. Congrats and thank you for encouraging BIG DREAMS in AG! @AvonGrove_HS
AGEF was honored to financially support the AGHS Parent Action Committee in their effort to provide parting gift bags to every senior in the AGHS Class of 2021!
AGEF awarded Timothy Tarkanick $5700 to purchase materials for Robotics classes at AGHS. Mr. Tarkanickโs students were able to build, code and test robots from the kits purchased with the grant funds. Here they are using the technology around the school!
Thanks to teacher, Casey Rurode, and the Avon Grove Education Foundation, students at AGHS now have the opportunity to break away from textbooks and immerse themselves in hands-on scientific inquiry with an in-class DNA Lab!
