A year ago, I was in a very dark place. Random negative thoughts had become a part of my everyday life.

Then Misti came home.

She didn’t change everything overnight, but day by day, she made life brighter. Every evening after work when I come home, she’s the happiest to see me. I make sure to clean myself before cuddling her, and then begins her endless licking marathon. ❤️

She has never said “I love you,” to me, but I know she loves me the most. I tell her every day that I love her, but she doesn’t understand; however, she knows that I love her.

Bringing her home was one of the best decisions of my life. Yes, balancing work and giving her enough time isn’t always easy, but she’s a commitment I’ll never regret.

I just pray that I always have the strength to give her the life she deserves. 🐾
