Brilliant. Democrats have created a system in California of legalized election theft. Watch to the end. Make sure Senate Republicans do whatever it takes to pass the Save America Act ASAP.
When I said this throughout my campaign, CNN people called me cruel and unhinged. Now, after they helped secure the election for the 2 dorks responsible for all these problems, CNN is now echoing my campaign talking points as gospel. Fascinating!
Elizabeth Warren and Elon's haters say Elon is rich because of government contracts. Wrong.
70% of SpaceX's revenue comes from Starlink, Elon's satellite Internet service.
It is true NASA subcontracts with SpaceX for its rocket launches because Elon can launch rockets into space for one-quarter of the cost of anyone else . . . because Elon and his team invented reusable rockets.
The Biden Regime decided not to use SpaceX for political reasons -- decided to use Boeing to carry astronauts to the space station. But Boeing was unable to get the astronauts back to earth.
The astronauts were stranded at the space station for nearly a year.
Elon had to rescue the astronauts.
Because Elon is able to put up satellites so cheaply, 70% of the working satellites currently orbiting earth are from SpaceX.
Jeff Bezos is also trying to launch rockets into space.
His rockets mostly just blow up on the launch pad -- because launching rockets into space is hard.
America's space program was dead -- until Elon came along and built his own space program at his risk.
Elon also pioneered solar powered energy storage for electric power grids -- because the sun provides limitless, free, clean energy. This is a Tesla product that is primarily purchased by governments.
Elon also has the Boring Company, which aims to solve the urban traffic congestion problem by boring earthquake-proof flexible tunnels under cities.
Obviously, these can only be purchased by governments.
So, yes, some of Elon's business (a small fraction) has come from government contracts.
But Elon is rich because he focuses on solving the world's most important problems.
Elon's company Tesla is dedicated to transitioning the world to unlimited, free, clean, sustainable energy primarily by using the nuclear reactor in the sky called the Sun that is a source of unlimited free energy.
The sun provides the power, the batteries the storage. That's Elon's vision.
Also, Elon is not trying to transition the world away from fossil fuel use by force of government.
He is doing it by creating better products. Teslas are objectively superior and more cost-effective cars -- which is why the Tesla Model Y is now the bestselling car in the world.
Liberals used to love Elon because of Tesla's mission -- to transition the world to clean energy.
But now they hate Elon because he moved from being a Democrat to being a Republican. So Democrats organized terrorist attacks on Tesla dealerships and on Tesla owners.
Elon also has a company called Neuralink, which is solving wiring problems in the brain so that blind people can see, paraplegics can walk, and mental illness (such as bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia) can be solved.
Elon lives very modestly. He doesn't have a mansion.
The rumor is he doesn't even have a home.
All of his capital is tied up in his companies. His trillion-dollar net worth is only on paper, in the form of the stock he owns in his companies.
He's only worth $1.2 TRILLION on paper because his investors say he's worth this. The market says he's worth this.
In all, Elon's companies provide jobs to more than 160,000 people.
If you count all the companies that do business with Elon's companies (battery makers, chip makers, etc), Elon provides exponentially more jobs than this.
On the day SpaceX went public, 4,400 SpaceX employees became millionaires because of stock they owned in SpaceX. These new millionaire SpaceX employees include janitors, cafeteria workers, groundskeepers.
Elizabeth Warren and Democrats think this is horrible -- because Elon is showing that the American Dream is still alive and well in America.
Elizabeth Warren and today's Democrat Party openly hate America -- openly hope America loses to Iran.
Elon arrived here as an immigrant from Africa with nothing -- a few dollars in his pocket -- and then built all this.
In 1995, he created Zip2, which was an early online mapping company and city guide. When he and his partners/investors sold this to Compaq in 1999, Elon got $22 Million.
He then co-founded PayPal in 1999-2000. He and his partners/investors sold PayPal to eBay in 2004 for $1.5 BILLION. Elon's share from the sale was $180 MILLION.
He then found SpaceX in 2002, investing $100 MILLION of his own money -- pretty much risked his entire fortune on this enterprise. When I read about this, I thought this project had a near-zero chance of success. Who starts their own space exploration company?
Two years later, he also acquired a small company called Tesla in 2004. He invested $70 MILLION of his own money in this. Who in their right might decides to try to replace the existing fossil-fuel auto industry with battery-powered cars when the battery technology did even yet exist?
But almost every venture Elon tries works, spectacularly.
People invest in Elon because he makes money for those who invest in Elon over the long-term.
Would you rather invest your money in Elon, who will multiply your money because he knows how to use capital productively and efficiently . . . or in government, which will just use your money to finance more Somali fraud and more corruption?
Elon does not wake up each day and think: "How big of a yacht can I buy? How big of a mansion can I buy?"
Elon works 100 hours a week.
He thinks about increasing his rocket launch schedule so that he can colonize Mars in his lifetime . . . because his #1 goal in life is to transform humans into an interplanetary species . . . so that human consciousness can be extended beyond the lifespan of the earth.
This sure doesn't sound selfish to me.
Elon does not think about making money. He thinks about solving problems.
The money then just arrives because he's very good at solving problems. So investors voluntarily throw their hard-earned money at Elon.
He doesn't steal money like the government does.
He takes people's money, multiplies it, and returns it to investors -- at multiples of 10x, 20x, 100x.
Thomas Edison also got rich. He gave us the incandescent light bulb, the electric power grid, the phonograph, motion pictures, and more.
Elizabeth Warren thinks it's just horrible for inventors to get rich.
But how many trillions and trillions of dollars in wealth for others did Edison's inventions create?
How many jobs?
Thomas Edison created America's industrial revolution with his inventions.
Elon is today's Thomas Edison.
Elon is also saving America.
Elon saved free speech through his purchase of Twitter for $44 BILLION.
If Elon had not done this, free speech in America would be over. And it's highly doubtful Donald Trump would have won back the Presidency in 2024.
So Elon saved America with his purchase of Twitter.
Elizabeth Warren says Elon should have to pay a 5% wealth tax every year -- which shows how ignorant she is about how economics works.
Elon has almost no liquid cash sitting around.
His money is tied up in his companies.
If he had to sell 5% of his stock holdings every year to pay this tax, the stock market would crash.
He would have to fire his employees and downsize his businesses.
Why would anyone invest in his businesses or in any enterprise if the government is just going to come in and take 5% of it every year?
But this is how socialists think.
They think economics is a "zero sum" game.
They think Elon's money comes from someone else.
No.
Elon is literally creating wealth for all with his inventions. Elon creates wealth out of his brain.
Elon is now creating an army of AI humanoid robots that he says will take over most manual tasks.
He says that we are reaching a point when work will be optional, and when everyone will have a high income and nice life without working at all.
He calls this Minimum Basic Income -- but at a high level.
People will then be free to work on things they want to work on.
Sounds pretty good to me.
Elon also overcame horrific bullying when he was a kid. He overcame this without harboring resentment toward humanity.
In fact, it appears his primary motivation is to help humanity survive and prosper.
How many jobs has Elizabeth Warren created?
Zero.
How many of the world's most pressing problems has Elizabeth Warren solved?
Zero.
What of value has Elizabeth Warren delivered to the world?
Zero.
What Elizabeth Warren specializes in is stoking ENVY -- which is one of the seven deadly sins.
ENVY is a powerful and highly destructive force.
ENVY powered Communism and the slaughter of hundreds of millions of people during the 20th Century.
ENVY is what powers today's Democrat Party.
I will never stop being grateful for this man.
Every morning I wake up in a country I love, and I know that would not be possible without his courage, his resilience, and his willingness to endure what few people ever could.
He is flawed. He is imperfect. He is human.
But when our country needed someone willing to stand in the fire, he did.
I truly believe America would be lost without him.
For that, I will always be grateful.
MAGA 4 EVA.
So the $7 trillion of our money that that the government took and spent last year solved every problem seven times over?
I think that would’ve made the news.
On June 13, 1777, a 19-year-old French teenager landed on a beach in South Carolina, uninvited, to fight in someone else's war. He would become one of the most important men in American history.
The Marquis de Lafayette was one of the richest young aristocrats in France. He had a beautiful wife, a fortune, and zero reason to risk any of it. But he believed in the American cause so fiercely that when the French king forbade him from going, Lafayette bought his own ship and sailed anyway. He literally went AWOL from a life of luxury to bleed for a country that didn't exist yet.
Congress was annoyed at first. Another foreign officer looking for a paycheck? Then Lafayette offered to serve for free and pay his own way. That got their attention.
He met Washington and the two formed one of the great father-son bonds in American history. Washington had no biological children. Lafayette named his only son George Washington Lafayette.
He took a bullet in the leg at Brandywine and kept rallying the retreat. He was instrumental at Yorktown, the battle that won the war. He went home a hero on two continents.
A foreign teenager believed in America before America did. 249 years ago today.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…
The poorest Americans today enjoy a standard of living that the richest people on earth couldn’t buy a century ago.
Why?
Free-market capitalism is the only system in history to lift entire societies out of mass poverty.
I well remember December 29, 2019, when Pompeo, Esper and Milley carried out a U.S. military operation unilaterally in Northern Syria and Iraq, without the knowledge of President Trump.
The trio then flew to Mar-a-Lago to brief the President.
At the time, President Trump was focused on a plan to remove all troops from Afghanistan, against the consternation of the neocons.
Few people actually understood the moment, but President Trump made Pompeo, Milley and Esper stand at the podium and give remarks.
President Trump made no remarks, gave no statement and posted nothing about it.
I said at the time: ..."With strong indications that President Trump is working earnestly to remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan, the tail of the war machine is predisposed to wag the dog."...
A month later, we were in the beginning of SARS-CoV-2.... the rest as they say, history.
More spending doesn’t equal better results—California has proved that.
Roughly $400 BILLION in FRAUD, WASTE, and ABUSE over the past 5 years—tackling that is the starting point.
Cut out the waste, reduce spending, and cut taxes. ☀️ @CNN@kaitlancollins
Notice how socialists never talk about seizing the wealth of George Soros or any of the other multi-billionaires who bankroll their operations. They would be praising Elon to the sky, and vigorously protecting his wealth, if he were politically on their side.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon: Elon is our Einstein. It's rational he checks our government efficiency.
“You’ve got to look at Elon, at SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink – the guy is our Einstein. I'd like to be helpful to him and his companies as much as we can.
I think it is completely rational for someone to look at our government and say it's been ineffective. We deserve good government, and I don't think anyone thinks sending another trillion dollars to Washington, D.C., will lead to good government.
The government needs to be more accountable. It needs to be more efficient. It should be outcomes-based. I mean, I'd say [go] department by department.
I wish them the best. It's going to be complicated. The federal government's complicated. You read about all the people in it. And so, you know, if we could be helpful to them, I'd love to be helpful to them.”
Jamie Dimon on CNBC, January 22, 2025
“Elon Musk is a trillionaire.”
As a securities law attorney, please allow me to explain how anyone who says this is basically lying to you:
1. The Securities and Exchange Commission has a myriad of laws that prevent founders and other large stockholders of publicly traded companies from dumping their shares. There are substantial holding period requirements, volume of sales limitations and public reporting obligations for stock sales. Basically, Elon holds largely illiquid shares, he is a “trillionaire” on paper only, and the best analogy is when people peg your net worth based on your home’s market price. That’s not money in your pocket, that’s the house you live in.
2. All that money raised in the IPO? That’s not going into Elon’s pocket like the lying socialist idiots want you to believe. It’s a capital influx that will be used to make more rockets and get more payloads into orbit. It’s a CAPITAL investment—that money is like a business loan, it’s not your money to keep, it’s your money to grow the business.
3. If it WERE legal for Elon to dump his shares, the share price would crash basically instantly and the company could very well fail.
If you bought SpaceX shares in the IPO, congrats. You just bought a lottery ticket, just like Elon. May the odds ever be in your favor.
So the next time someone screeches about how unfair it is that Elon Musk creates wealth that benefits all of humanity, throw the truth back in their faces.
NY already DOES tax the rich. It's why they are leaving NY for places that don't hate successful people like @elonmusk who create products & services that we want. @elonmusk being rich doesn't make ME poor. But hating successful people will make us ALL poor!
In 2022 Jen Psaki was asked about claims that we were operating biolabs in Ukraine. She denied the existence of "bioweapons" programs and then called the whole thing Russian disinformation.
Elon responded to Warren calling him a “freeloader" in 2021:
“I'm actually paying the most tax that any individual in history has ever paid this year. Ever."
"And she doesn't pay taxes basically at all. Her salary is paid for by the taxpayer, like me. If you could die by irony, she would be dead."
Ro, you’re lying and you know it.
You compared a man’s net worth to a country’s GDP. A balance sheet to a year of output. You went to Yale. You learned the difference between a stock and annual output flow.
But being a politician and lawyer, you love to lie and gaslight the economic illiterates, it’s your entire business model.
You want a 5% tax on Elon to fund free trade school for every American.
Trade school costs $80B/yr, you can’t even fund a year.
Elon doesn’t have $55B in cash. It’s stock. You know this.
To pay, he sells roughly $70B of Tesla and SpaceX shares, and the sale itself gets taxed on top. SpaceX raised $75B at its IPO this morning at a $1.77 trillion valuation.
Imagine him selling that amount every year.
Ro isn’t taxing Elon. He’s taxing everyone who gas exposure to the market. Every pension fund and index fund on the planet gets wrecked. And given Ro, he’ll insider trade and short before the bill passes.
And for what? To rip capital from the best allocator alive and hand it to the most incompetent institution in human history. Elon turned PayPal gains into Tesla and SpaceX: 120,000 jobs, launch costs down 90%, two industries that didn’t exist, a $1.77 trillion company from nothing.
You’ve never built anything. You’ve never employed anyone. You’ve never created a dollar of value in your life. You collect a government salary and demand tribute from men who do what you can’t.
Your machine spends $7 trillion a year and still runs a $1.8 trillion deficit. It loses up to $521 billion a year to fraud. More than your entire tax raises. The Department of Education went from $34 billion in 2000 to $268 billion in 2024. 8x the money. Reading scores at multi-decade lows. Trade schools still unfunded.
You don’t lack money. You lack competence, and you want Elon to subsidize it.
You haven’t donated your wealth. You haven’t moved into government housing. Empty your accounts first, Ro. Then preach.
Elon’s options get taxed as ordinary income at the top rate when exercised. Over $500 billion in lifetime taxes, the largest tax stream from one human ever. You want $55 billion now in a way that craters the shares the $500 billion depends on. Your tax doesn’t raise money. It kills the companies, kills the jobs, kills the pensions, and torches a bigger check already in the mail.
You’re the monkey in the middle, Ro. You can’t build. You can’t allocate. You can’t even count. So you eat from everyone else’s pie and call it fairness.
.@POTUS is creating the conditions for families and businesses to prosper. Our economic strategy rests on three distinct, but mutually reinforcing levers of tax, trade, and deregulation.
Beneath each of these priorities is a layer that binds them all: the doctrine of energy dominance. Energy is the foundational layer of all economic activity and the fuel of human flourishing.
Energy dominance is back. The age of managed decline is over. And we are just getting started.
California has the nation's costliest gas and electricity. Yet it's also among the worst states environmentally. Tankers bringing oil from across the world are massive polluters. So are wildfires.
Yet again, failed policies mean we sacrifice the most and get the least in return.
