This is based on research because of the harmful chemicals within them. The government sees it as a threat to young people hence the change

@thefrielster @sick_caleb The fact that it is called a gateway drug is true, but it is not. People make their own decisions in their lifetime. Not everyone who smokes marijuana does other drugs. If people have the urge to do meth, they will do so. This is because of peer pressure or trying to be cool.

@sick_caleb Alcohol is worse for you then marijuana. There have been no deaths on marijuana except for synthetic marijuana. More then 88,000 people a year die from alcohol related deaths. The number of deaths from marijuana, 0.

@Kalerankia Recreational marijuana should be legal. People look at all the “bad” affects such as impairment while driving but yet that happens with alcohol more then marijuana. Not to mention the government would make billions of dollars.
