Ross Greer says quite clearly the public don’t have confidence in our politics so why then has he fixed it so his pals won’t be subjected to an inquiry with the power to compel witnesses or documents? Why does he fear effective scrutiny?
How many more solicitors are out there, who have been spoken to by Peter Murrell, requesting they 'ONLY DEAL WITH HIM' and not with the treasurer??
@WingsScotland
Just in case anyone wondered how the SNP are filling the seats of MPs who jumped to Holyrood.
Local? No mention of Scotland for over a decade on her public CV
Local branch or issues campaigner? No, understandably since study and work all in England.
Baffling really.
Of course they will. The fix is in from Ross Greer but unfortunately for him he misled parliament when he implied the amendment had the support of @ProfJMitchell. But that won’t stop the sheep from voting for it.
@euanmccolm@MailOnlineScot Mr Greer is an exhausting man who rages about struggle despite having been born within the sound of lawn sprinklers:…….he’s every member of all those Judean fronts in one.”
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😄
So much for Ross Greer as a political radical. His refusal to back calls for an inquiry into the Murrell scandal exposes the Scottish Green chief as the political fraud he is. My @MailOnlineScot column on Holyrood’s papier-mache Mandelson: https://t.co/BOFAfWnKNy
The scenes we saw in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ayr last night are unacceptable.
Scotland is a welcoming nation and those who choose to make their lives here are valued members of our communities.
Racism, hatred and intimidation have no place in Scotland. We must stand against it.
@JohnSwinney I witnessed last night's rally in Ayr in support of the poor Belfast laddie. It was well attended by decent folk who behaved impeccably and disbursed quietly. You owe the people of Ayr an apology.

Isn't the comment below spot on?
"I for one would like to see Dorothy Bain, the Lord Advocate and head of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), interviewed under oath for
(a) deciding against charging Nicola Sturgeon, despite allegedly the police having every expectation she would be charged based on the evidence gathered
(b) deciding against charging Colin Beattie (the weaver), the SNP treasurer during much of this time
(c) deciding to focus on the Murrell embezzlement case, rather than also pursue the SNP’s illegal use of the money in the ring-fenced referendum fund
(d) taking an inordinate length of time to arrive at their decisions
(e) allowing Peter Murrell’s court case to be delayed until after the Holyrood election
(f) briefing John Swinney as Operation Branchform proceeded
If it looks like a duck etc......"
Reform of the Lord Advocate role can’t come soon enough if we want faith restored in Scotland’s prosecution service.
🧵This, from Robin McAlpine, sums up the current position of the SNP very well & also lays out legitimate concerns about Crown Office. “A political party in this country has allowed its Chief Exec to steal money, it bullied & forced out whistleblowers…1/3 https://t.co/2isgUXlkzT
Right let’s line up them up:

Tony Bloom
Tom English
And the rest of the pearl-clutching hand wringers
An actual assault on a football pitch by an invading fan. Let’s get the articles written, the phone lines open. Treat it with the same outrage you had for Celtic
Just re-upping this after listening Ross Greer on Radio Scotland. He showed remarkably little concern for Scottish Green Party members who may have contributed to the ‘ring-fenced’ indyref fund. His ‘independent review’ would not have power to compel witnesses or other evidence.
The headline below does not name Airdrie and Shotts.
But it does make @theSNP’s history of candidate-selection rows look even more deserving of scrutiny.
In Airdrie and Shotts, Cllr Paul Di Mascio reportedly believed local SNP members would have backed him. Instead, he says he was put through a process involving Kirsten “Everest” Oswald, told he had failed and Anum Qaisar - daughter of a millionaire businessman - was selected, later becoming MP.
Di Mascio alleged the process reflected influence from Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon. The SNP said Qaisar was selected by a ballot of members.
Fine. Then let’s see the process, the scoring, the minutes and the decision-making.
What I do not understand is why @JohnSwinney, supposedly trying to restore trust, has promoted Oswald when her name has also been linked to complaints about NEC scrutiny, finance questions and party governance.
Maybe it is all coincidence.
Maybe every uncomfortable question around SNP democracy just happens to pass the same desk.
But Scotland is entitled to ask why someone so close to so many disputed internal processes has been rewarded with ministerial office rather than subjected to proper scrutiny.
The Murrell conviction isn’t the end of the story but only the start. The fact no-one is allowed to openly discuss this more momentous scandal tells you all you need to know about the corruption at the heart of the Scottish Establishment. 👇
It was and always was Martin O’Neill for another year.
