Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy and The Headache Alliance are sister orgs dedicated to making life better for those impacted by headache disorders.
We are so grateful to @RepBrianFitz for being a champion for people living with migraine and headache disorders as one of our lead sponsors of the #HEADACHEAct! #HOH2026
Had a great meeting with @AHDAorg and two outstanding PA-1 constituent advocates—Jenn Schacht of Doylestown and Ashley Bennett of Chalfont.
Their lived experience and insight are exactly what shaped the bipartisan Headache Act I introduced in September with Congresswoman Lori Trahan—the first-ever coordinated federal initiative focused on headache disorders.
With more than 40 million Americans affected—and headaches the leading cause of disability worldwide—this issue demands a thoughtful and serious national response. Our bill establishes a National Headache Disorders Initiative at HHS, strengthens access to care and workforce capacity, improves data, and keeps patient voices at the center of policy.
Jenn and Ashley, thank you for your leadership and for bringing real-world perspective to this effort. It’s a powerful reminder that advocacy here in PA-1 is helping drive national change. I look forward to continuing our work together with you and the entire AHDA team to continue this progress.
