Walking away from a female customer who is worried about being undressed in front of men in changing rooms, and calling her "abusive" for asking about it, is not a good look @marksandspencer. I wouldn't go near that store.
Colchester @marksandspencer I asked where the women’s changing room was to try on swimwear. Manager Andrew (he/ his /him) says gender neutral changing areas are “completely safe” for women and girls. For asking him this question, he told me to leave the store. @SexMattersOrg

So MSPs are going to be compelled to deny reality
This is not being polite or respectful it is perpetuating a dangerous lie that harms women and children
If MSPs are prepared to lie about this why would we trust them on anything at all
This is not neutrality or respect it's compelled speech. Forcing elected representatives and by extension, the public to affirm contested beliefs about sex and gender under threat of sanction sets a dangerous precedent.
Parliament's role is to uphold free debate, not police pronouns. Biological sex is a material reality rooted in science and law not a belief system to be enforced.
This breaches the spirit of the Nolan Principles that govern standards in public life particularly objectivity acting impartially, on evidence, without bias and Integrity.
The Presiding Officer must serve the whole Parliament and the public interest not impose ideological conformity.
