This “Jay-Z was never the hottest rapper” debate is one of the dumbest and most simple-minded arguments on this app.
Even IF he was never the “hottest”, he was consistently the best, and more importantly, he outlasted every single one of the rappers y’all claim were hotter than him.
He lapped all them niggas, and wouldn’t trade places with ANY of them.
So, what’s even the point of this debate?
Y’all claim that Jay is/was so insignificant, yet Y’ALL ALWAYS use him as the standard to measure greatness.
I wonder why that is. 🤔
Why don’t y’all ever use all the rappers y’all claim were hotter than him? 🤔
We all know the answer to that.
Also, Jay never cared about that nonsense. He rapped about it in his music, and spoke about it in interviews.
While the rest of them niggas’ little flames burned out, he was the sun that remained hot forever.
I could literally post this freestyle every single day on this app.
It applies to so many things.
TIDAL and Roc Nation take all the hits, simply because they’re Jay-Z’s vision.
Meanwhile, the rest of these companies steal his ideas and repackage them as “innovative” and continue to operate with impurity as they rake in billions.
Never take your foot off their necks, @sc!
“Same sword they knight you they gon' goodnight you with,
Sh.. Thats' only half if they like you,
That ain't even the half what they might do,
Don't believe me, ask Michael,
See Martin, see Malcolm,
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success & its outcome,
See Jesus, see Judas,
See Caesar, see Brutus, see success is like suicide,
Suicide, it's a suicide,
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified”
Crazy how Gene Simmons can declare what isn't Rock & Roll and Country folks can declare what isn't Country. But Hip Hoppers will argue with your mother to let ANYONE call themselves Hip Hop. BRING GATEKEEPING HIP HOP BACK!!!
this was the first single from Group Home and I swear to you - not one person who heard this at the time was like “oh no this guy is not lyrical” - they were just like “this is the hardest shit out!” 🔥
