They did it again:
Important work from @airambulancekss@SECAmbulance@SECAmb_CCP@drrichardlyon
The presence of an enhanced care team (CCP or HEMS) improved the median on-scene time and triage in central stabbing

Audience question @EuropSocEM trauma seminar on use of TXA in trauma cardiac arrest. Answer = No. Concentrate on immediately reversible causes (intubation and thoracostomies). Arrest from bleeding exsanguination = 100% fatal and TXA a weak drug, so will have no effect.
@Sladester100 We ran the Outlander a few years back - found that the electric side depleted far too quickly during a “spirited” run and the petrol engine was too underpowered to run alone (tortoise mode 🐢) Technology has moved on though since then so would be interesting to try something else
@tommylemon1980@BBCNews Or the fact that HMRC got a 13% pay deal in March 2021 with 3% backdated to June 2020, then 5% in June 2021 and 5% coming June 2022 - but then again they didn’t get the GC on paper or the Thursday claps. Probably didn’t get Covid at work either unlike us.
As we’ve seen recently attacking the emergency services doesn’t lead to a custodial sentence so what’s the point of doubling it if they get community service anyway??
@SECAmb_Katie @Blair_Laird Local management are aware and supply the coffee which is ok but the welfare cars were very welcome and as we are far from being back to normal, yet the workload is increasing, they would be more beneficial than ever
@SECAmb_Danny @Blair_Laird The welfare vehicles were great as you could get a nice refreshing cold drink and a snack. Set you up perfect for the next one
@SECAmb_Danny @Blair_Laird A few of the local hospitals have signs up saying “Hospital Staff Only” or the canteen is miles away and you can’t get to it out of hours (if it’s even open). There is a small supply of NHS coffee in a plastic cup but it’s the last thing you want after a prolonged Level 3 Resus!
In a UK first, how we manage spinal injuries is changing thanks to CCP Alan Cowley’s research. We will be using approaches such as encouraging patients not to move their neck or head blocks to immobilise the neck instead of semi-ridged neck collars.

@amy_kyle @mitlahiri Hi Amy - if you email [email protected] then we will collate a list to provide feedback for unsuccessful candiates. There will likely be a delay as we prioritise the successful candidates progression through the process but we will get back to you asap
Last few days to apply to join @SECAmb_CCP with a fantastic opportunity to join a very supportive team. We’re still developing and delivering patient focused enhanced care across Kent, Surrey & Sussex

@Para_Fin92 @Broadsword999 Yeah you can’t buy them new with a Rex now. I have it more for the convenience and peace of mind but I’ve done over 2700 miles since I even switched it on for a few miles. We’re running two electric cars (wife has a Nissan Leaf) and never looked back!
