Timor-Leste once again became a hub for human rights! 🌍
The 33rd edition of the Human Rights & People’s Diplomacy Training gathered defenders from 13 South & Southeast Asian countries for two weeks of shared learning, solidarity, and practical training. ✊

From treaty bodies to grassroots mobilization, from media storytelling to UN advocacy role play, participants gained skills, networks, and inspiration.

Marco Borraccetti, PhD, is Associate Professor in EU law at the University of Bologna, Dep. Political and Social Sciences; he is co-director of the GC European Regional Master’s Programme in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe (ERMA), Universities of Sarajevo and Bologna; and Rector’s delegate for refugees.

Mariateresa Veltri, PhD, is a postdoc fellow and Adjunct Professor of EU law at the University of Bologna, Dep. Political and Social Sciences; she is an immigration and human rights attorney.
