Fantastic response by our @AylesburyHigh Sixth Form to a fascinating and important Current Issues talk by Shirley from @AnthonyNolan. Over 90 students listened to the #HeroProject and signed up for the Register.
Heroes all!
We have got a fantastic cohort of Year 12 students starting in September. Can't wait to have them - and our wonderful Year 13s - all in school in September. There's an exciting year ahead!
We've got fantastic students and we are thinking of them all now and wish them all the best today.
We are here if you need to contact us (use the email info sent yesterday).
Sad that it has to be done remotely but we are looking forward to working with our 13s on their transition to higher education activities today. (Details in the GC for any late interest).
Thanks to all who have made it possible
It was a year ago today that we clapped students out of school as the first lockdown began. What a year! Thanks to all who have helped and supported our Sixth Form students over the last year but most of all, very well done to all of them. We know it's not been easy!
Fantastic to start this Back to School week with the safe return of Yr13 and the Yr11s we hope will be our new Yr12 in September. Tomorrow we look forward to welcoming Yr12 back too.
Letters detailing the reopening of school next week have been sent home to all year groups. We hope they have been received. Here is a breakdown for quick reference.
For any questions or concerns please contact the school office.

Very pleased to hear that one of our former students donated stem cells via bone marrow with @anthonynolan today after a talk she heard at @AylesburyHigh
Words for our time:
"There is always light, if only we are bold enough to see it; there is always light, if we are bold enough to be it."
Brava @TheAmandaGorman
On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."
Now, more than ever, exploring our Next Steps is important. Huge thanks to John and Rachel from @solentuni for helping Yr12 start their Next Steps journey today, albeit virtually.
At the end of a long week, we want to say well done to all our students for negotiating the challenges with customary assurance, and for being enthusiastic, engaged and hard working in remote lessons too. Thanks to teachers, families and all who have supported them. Weekend now!
Busy days for everyone but we don't want this deadline to slip by ...
There is still time to apply for a place in Year 12 this coming September - applications close on Monday 11 January.
