@DreadWolfSurana@EndymionYT@sairaspooks Dawg they were in early development on the new mass effect after nearly a decade of development. There is a point you gotta stop excusing the incompetence. They had almost 1000 employees before they finally got hit with layoffs.
EA and its fans are garbage, Bioware you are everything to me, all the loser gamers calling you "woke trash" are the same players nobody should ever appeal to anyway. Down with EA
We all know private equity firms are killing games but these anti woke losers couldn't find a book in a library and need everything to be about wokeness and not capitalism, because they love capitalism. It's easier for them to believe a conspiracy that every western studio hates them than believe that a company taking 20 billion in debt (and has historically killed studios/games) might try to cut costs.
Tipster, these people are terrible at their jobs. They deserve to lose their jobs. BioWare has only existed in name alone since Mass Effect 3, and believing otherwise is just pure cope and delusion.
Watching people who claim to care about gaming celebrate the closure of yet another studio just proves they don’t actually give a fuck about the games industry. These anti-woke clowns aren’t actually gamers. They’re just grifters profiting off of hateful outrage.
@K4kirigaya@RealLifeFakeWiz@bioware Yeah its almost like we get upset when good devs lose their jobs, and enjoy it when devs who thought scolding their customers for not liking their game lose their jobs
The toxic positivity of the gaming industry has truly gone so out of control that people genuinely think that a bunch of new hires wearing the skin of a beloved studio who decided to scold their customers for not liking product is a bad thing. Good riddance.
You are not owed a job for breathing. These people were bad at their jobs and finally got punished for it. A loser is someone who thinks they deserve a paycheck for being terrible at their job, not the people cheering on losers who thought scolding their customers was a good idea
I know not every gamer on the internet is an incredible loser, but it's still so incredibly odd that so many of these dumbass idiots think that 400 people losing their jobs in the game industry is somehow a net positive. Like it's so obvious to me that these people who claim to love video games have zero idea how the industry works. They just think oh less what games no dumbass that's less games. That's less games. Like. The fact that you guys cheer for people to lose their jobs is so incredibly sad. Like how pathetic is your life where this is something that makes you happy. People who you have no idea who they are just lost their jobs you're like oh hell yeah yeah now they're working at McDonald's like at least they fucking have a job. You guys are clearly unemployed doing this shit.
And these chugs will always be happy when the developers lose people because they're like, oh, that means no more woke stuff. No more bad things, no you idiot. The people who made the decisions you don't like are still working. The executives who are like let's monetize the hell out of this are still working. The people who are like let's turn this into a live service. They are still working. It is the people who were forced to make those games that way who are gone like those ideas are still going to persist, which is why I do not understand why people cheer for it's not a good thing.
Really feels like the boy who cried wolf with all game devs warning that the game industry is in shambles and Twitter chuds writing it off as “lol go woke go broke glad they’re all losing their jobs” now seeing the actual ramifications
The people who wanted to “save video games” are cheering on major corporations gutting critically acclaimed studios because they think the people losing their jobs are too woke and deserve it.
This doesn’t create jobs for anyone. It only takes jobs and creates suffering.
@blackLegAJ96 Whats more ignorant and pathetic? Pretending people deserve their jobs despite being terrible at their job, or being a culture warrior in 2026? The world may never know
@cebaceps Just, as an example of what I mean: The man who ended up taking over head writer for 343 industries after Bungie left Halo was the guy who wrote the ARG for Halo 3, and was a junior writer on 2. Very inexperienced, but technically he "contributed"
@cebaceps Someone contributing does not make them a major player. I am being hyperbolic of course, but the absolute heavy hitters in the company left after Mass Effect 3, some even before. This is just a quick list of the biggest names in the studio who left, but practically all are gone
