Are things really that bad there that you guys can't afford a $200 window unit and $1 - $2 a day to be comfortable?

@storageinator @sircalebhammer Exact same setup. We use the central AC to keep the house at 78, but then cool the bedrooms to 65.

I calculated the cost and with both units running it's legitimately under $1 a day. Units were both under $300 and one is 6 years old and the other is 4. Both still work like new.

It comes with some pretty awful side effects but it's better than not being able to leave my room for fear of contracting some rare long forgotten disease.
