Very exciting study from the Warren Grayson lab! Revealing vascular networks in young & aged mice—shedding light on aging. Young mice show a dense vessel network in skull.

Feeling nostalgic as it’s has been five years since my first @BMESociety Annual Meeting, where I met @GraysonLab and recruited for my PhD. This year, I had the opportunity to present my PhD work and catch up with my current and former undergrads who are all on track to PhDs ❤️
We identified a significant loss of nerves with aging and found that nerves preferentially associate with Type H vessels throughout all time points studied.
In this study, we used advanced imaging to generate high resolution, 3D images of the calvaria throughout the murine lifespan (P0 to 80 weeks). Along with Dr. Arvind Pathak, we developed a machine learning-based segmentation workflow to accurately segment and quantify the nerves.
The ORS Scientific Program Committee is now seeking workshop applications for #ORS2025! Workshops will cover a wide variety of topics representing basic, translational, and clinical research, as well as innovative technologies. Learn more: https://t.co/PoJgOg1Iga
ORS Annual Meetings have been some of my favorite experiences of my PhD. I love this community and the relationships I’ve built here. Once again, wonderful time here with #ORS2024
Wrapping up an awesome ORS with one last poster from Shaquielle!! We had two fantastic poster sessions from Gabriella and Dallas and have loved catching up with friends and making new connections #ORS2024
Celebrate an awesome talk from Claudia and two great posters from Carlos and Eszter this morning at #ORS2024 with a special appearance from Eileen, our fantastic undergrad, who presented her work from her time in Lisa Larkin’s lab!
Looking forward to listening to @AHorenberg 's talk next about neurons associated with calvarial bone injuries! @GraysonLab always has really cool science! @isfrfractures#ORS2024
