The most valuable indicator of future potential is not past performance. It's recent progress.
The people who exceed expectations tomorrow are the ones who improved the most yesterday. Getting better shows the drive and dexterity to learn.
Growth is an accomplishment in itself.
Anthropic (Claude) has a really neat tool on their website.
It's a prompt optimizer and can turn a simple prompt into an advanced prompt template.
I've tested it and it works incredibly well.
Here's how to use it (in 3 steps):
Today we're excited to introduce Devin, the first AI software engineer.
Devin is the new state-of-the-art on the SWE-Bench coding benchmark, has successfully passed practical engineering interviews from leading AI companies, and has even completed real jobs on Upwork.
Devin is an autonomous agent that solves engineering tasks through the use of its own shell, code editor, and web browser.
When evaluated on the SWE-Bench benchmark, which asks an AI to resolve GitHub issues found in real-world open-source projects, Devin correctly resolves 13.86% of the issues unassisted, far exceeding the previous state-of-the-art model performance of 1.96% unassisted and 4.80% assisted.
Check out what Devin can do in the thread below.
AI changed your brain, and you didn't even notice it
After using it for more than 1 year, I noticed some SIGNIFICANT changes and it's not what you expect.
Took me months to figure this out, then yesterday together with @Nance726 we brainstormed THIS:
1. Bad AI prompting = weak generic useless output.
This happens because of SHALLOW thinking.
Unclear ideas, unclear expectations, unclear goals.
---
2. Good prompting = game changer for automation, making money, productivity.
Because of DEEP human thinking.
Understanding what you want to achieve, introspecting and finding answers, phrasing the prompt in the most clear and nuanced way possible to achieve that goal.
If you stop and think about it, wouldn't this make you a smarter, more successful human?
Even WITHOUT AI.
Yet, how many people do this on a daily basis?
Very few. I hope you are one of them.
But now AI comes into the picture.
---
3. You are now practicing these deep-thinking skills!
Without even realizing it.
Think about it (pun not intended lol)
AI forces you to practice this daily, IF you want to get results.
You think deeper, with every prompt, you predict, anticipate, clarify.
In time this changes the structure of your thinking and the structure of your brain, thanks to neuroplasticity.
You develop the habit of deep thinking.
And it's a subtle process, that happens with the passing of months.
---
We were talking about it yesterday in the excellent space of @theyvonnesayers and @alexutopia and people confirmed this, me included.
AI pushes you to be a smarter human. The longer people used it, the more their whole way of thinking evolved.
For the better.
So invest the time in the SKILL of prompt engineering, make better AI prompts, they will make you a better human, without you even realizing it.

The DARK Side
Over-reliance on these "automated systems" reduces attention span and focus.
And the faster THEY get, the bigger the risk of US becoming lazy. Of being spoon-fed LLM tokens.
I remain a big proponent of acceleration, NOT complete automation of human cognition.
Keep your hands on the AI wheel.

Took me a while to write this, went through my journals and prompts from last year.
Turn on the notifications bell 🔔 to not miss the next ones: thought-provoking guides, deepdives and automation for smarter work & extra income.
Feel free to share, it really helps.
Or criticize and educate me.
Let me know your thoughts, how did YOUR brain change with AI?

...and another one bites the dust🎉🥳
Just smashed hours of tedious work with some Pyhton magic and Google Drive API....and of course my dependable ally #ChatGPT 🤓 #Automation#Productivity
📢Exciting update from OpenAI! ChatGPT is getting a memory boost, remembering conversations 4 a more personalized & efficient experience. 🧠💬 You control its memory – ask it to remember, check what it recalls, or even forget details. Can't wait to snag this soon!🥳 #ChatGPT#AI
We’re testing ChatGPT's ability to remember things you discuss to make future chats more helpful.
This feature is being rolled out to a small portion of Free and Plus users, and it's easy to turn on or off. https://t.co/1Tv355oa7V

wow....adding a smiley face also helps. didn't know that.😀
just like it would a human, being nice/appreciative does improve the performance of the models🤖
