An informative community engagement meeting it was with the Kaembeni community unit in Rabai Subcounty. Our Kenya team conversed with pregnant mothers below 14 weeks highlighting our ScanZetu study and the importance of early antenatal care #ANC visits for healthier pregnancies.
Stay tuned as we continue this journey, integrating community wisdom to create better health outcomes for all. ππΌπ±
#GlobalHealth#HealthcareForAll
Bringing together local voices and perspectives, the CAB will guide our project with invaluable insights on community needs, cultural values, and ethical considerations. Together, we're paving the way for more inclusive and impactful #AI technology in healthcare.
The team left the session feeling more empowered to apply these insights to their ongoing work, enhancing the depth and rigor of our qualitative research. We are excited to see the impact this will have on our study!
#TeamEmpowerment
In the sessions, the team explored research philosophies, various qualitative research methodologies, types of qualitative data analysis, and hands-on coding practicals using NVivo, a qualitative data analysis software.

A fruitful week it was as our facility-based enumerators gave health talks last week to patients at Rabai subcounty hospital, Kenya, as part of the antenatal care (ANC) clinic routine where mothers are educated on the importance of early #ANC visits and #ultrasound scans.
It was great sharing the progress of the #AIMIX study with healthcare providers at Rabai Subcounty Hospital, our hosts in Kenya. We discussed our clinical, lab & community engagement achievements all aimed at improving maternal & neonatal outcomes through innovative AI solutions.
I had the immense pleasure of visiting Kenya last week, part of my ERC-funded @AIMIXProject.πDiscussions with local midwives, healthcare managers and pregnant women expanded my understanding of AI for accessible healthcare.πAlready missing Kenya's beauty and remarkable people.
