@carlalockhart such a blanket policy of publishing images of all convicted “migrant sex offenders” would undermine effective offender management. It risks vigilantism, public disorder, & exposing victims. Image release should be on a case by case, lawful, necessary & purposeful.
MCF’s Lived Experience Group (LEG) was established in 2023 to ensure survivors of technology-assisted child sexual abuse (TACSA) are at the centre of our advocacy, policy, training and practice. A recent independent evaluation explored how well MCF has supported the group, what difference it is making for members, and the extent of its influence within MCF and across the wider system.
The evaluation finds the LEG is:
🔹Safe and supportive, with wellbeing and safeguarding embedded throughout
🔹Survivor-led, shaping priorities and project work in meaningful ways
🔹Already making impact, influencing practice, policy, research and wider understanding of TACSA

Failure by PSNI to refer Creswell into the public protection arrangements in 2010 meant he wasn’t flagged as a DA offender on VISOR. Yet, neither the Chief Con nor PONI have adequately explained why investigators couldn’t see his prior convictions@GWalker9

Excellent to see AIM Associate @leonardconsult voicing her concern regarding the need for political parties in NI to work together to implement recommendations from Health and Social Care Reviews - safeguarding is everyone’s business but political reps must lead strategically
It is such a pity that political parties are focusing on point scoring rather than using the media airtime to focus on what they can collectively do to improve safeguarding for all @GarethMcGibbon@AIMProjectUK @kieranmcgrath22 @McgibbonOrlaith@healthdpt@Justice_NI
important insight for practitioners completing AIM assessments of the risk in using AI and how it translates and represents original opinion / analysis - highlights need for guidance but critically importance of quality supervision in this work @karen_martin09@GarethMcGibbon
