Looking at this absurd order from the Koraput DM banning meat, chicken, fish, eggs, and all non-veg sales on Republic Day (Jan 26th), I seriously question: Have I woken up in a theocracy or is this still secular India? What in the world has happened to our nation and its spine?

How does a District Magistrate & Collector even justify this nonsense? Linking our 77th Republic Day—celebrating democracy, freedom, and the Constitution—to forced vegetarianism? Zero logic! This is peak idiocy, a total overreach, and reeks of some ulterior motive. Whose puppet strings are being pulled here?

In the last 10-12 years, our IAS and IPS cadre has turned into a bunch of yes-men, blindly toeing the political line without a backbone. Remember the Chhattisgarh DM who got a show-cause notice just for wearing sunglasses while greeting PM Modi in 2015? Or the Kerala IAS officer suspended in 2024 for creating a "Mallu Hindu Officers" WhatsApp group? And don't forget "Collector Bro" N. Prasanth, axed for a social media jab at a senior—talk about fragile egos!

These aren't isolated; they're symptoms of a system where bureaucrats fear suspension over sunglasses more than upholding justice. The right-wing agenda has gutted our institutions, turning civil servants into jokers. Will we ever recover? Time for these officers to grow a pair and do their damn jobs—protect rights, not pander!
