আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবসের এই পুণ্যদিনে সম্মান জানাই বিশ্বের সকল ভাষা ও ভাষাভাষী মানুষকে। বিশ্বের সকল দেশের সকল ভাষা-শহিদদের ও ভাষা-সংগ্রামীদের জানাই আমার প্রণাম ও অন্তরের শ্রদ্ধা।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ - নজরুল - সুকান্ত - জীবনানন্দের বাংলা শুধু নয়, আমরা সব ভাষাকেই সম্মান করি। এটা আমার গর্ব যে, আমাদের সময়ে হিন্দি, সাঁওতালি, কুরুখ, কুড়মালি, নেপালি, উর্দু, রাজবংশী, কামতাপুরী, পাঞ্জাবি, তেলুগু ভাষাকে আমরা সরকারি ভাষা হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছি। সাদরি ভাষার মানোন্নয়নেও আমরা সচেষ্ট হয়েছি। হিন্দি আকাদেমি, রাজবংশী ভাষা আকাদেমি, কামতাপুরী ভাষা আকাদেমি, সাঁওতালি আকাদেমি – সব করা হয়েছে। এটাও সুনিশ্চিত করেছি যে, রাজ্যের প্রত্যেক ভাষা-ভাষী মানুষ তাদের মাতৃভাষায় পড়াশোনা করার সুযোগ পায়।

একুশের এই পুণ্য দিনে আরও একবার অঙ্গীকার করছি — যে-কোনো ভাষার ওপর যদি আক্রমণ আসে – আমরা সবাই মিলে তার বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়াবো। সকল ভাষা সমান ভাবে সম্মাননীয়।

Despite a clear order from the SC and its own formal communication, the @ECISVEEP has failed to release and publish the list of LOGICAL DISCREPANCIES that it was mandated to publish by the 24th January- today in all Gram Panchayats and municipal wards.

The same software that allegedly assessed and analysed over 7 crore enumeration forms and miraculously detected “logical discrepancies” within one hour on 16 December immediately after the draft rolls were published now seems to have lost its logic, speed, credibility and confidence.

Three obvious questions therefore remains stark and unanswered:

1️⃣ WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ECI TRYING TO HIDE ?

2️⃣ If DISCREPANCIES could be identified in one hour, why does it take days to DISCLOSE them?

3️⃣ Is the @ECISVEEP looking for LOGIC or hiding the DISCREPANCIES?

Delhi holds on to its dubious distinction as the RAPE CAPITAL of India. In a harrowing echo of the Nirbhaya tragedy, an innocent 11-year-old girl, eking out a living by selling roses at traffic signals, was abducted, raped, and abandoned in an unconscious state in a forested area.

PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah visit Bengal and speak of ‘Poriborton.’ Perhaps that 'Poriborton' should begin in BJP-ruled states first. A government that cannot ensure women’s safety, provide clean air and water, or prevent deadly blasts has no moral authority to come to Bengal and seek votes.

Hope we see outrage from the self-righteous BJP leaders. Hope a fact-finding team is sent to Delhi. Hope the NCW takes cognizance and conducts an inquiry. Hope the Godi media runs wall-to-wall coverage on this.

Defying the iron grip of the British Empire, the soil of undivided Midnapore once roared in resistance against TYRANNY, EXPLOITATION, and INJUSTICE. Carrying forward that same legacy, the people of Paschim Medinipur stood at the forefront in 2011 to restore democracy. The sea of people I witnessed today at the Rana Sankalp Sabha leaves no doubt that Bangla-Birodhi forces of DIVISION and DISCRIMINATION will be driven out from this land for good.

Those who once served as CPI(M)’s ‘harmads’ and soaked Paschim Medinipur in blood now wear BJP’s uniform, spreading the same poison of HATRED, HUMILIATION, and INTIMIDATION. BJP cannot fight democratically. That is why, at the last moment, they are trying to cross the electoral battlefield by deleting legitimate voters and subverting people’s mandate.

From Banglar Bari to Pathashree, from Karmashree to the Ghatal Master Plan, our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar has proved that fighting for Bengal’s people is our duty and delivering on our promises is our commitment. From “Sonar Bangla” to “Kamal Chhaap” to “Poriborton”, all Bengal has ever received from these Delhi overlords is a barrage of hot air, hollow chest-thumping.

BJP screams, “Paltano Dorkar, tai BJP Sarkar.” They want to change the people of Bengal. But Bengal’s people will not bend, will not break, will not change just because a handful of Zamindars are trying to punish and humiliate us into submission. After 2026, the democratic will of 10 crore people will force Modi ji to swallow his pride and chant “Joy Bangla” as a defeated man acknowledging the unbreakable spirit he could never conquer.

The massive road show in Chapra, Krishnanagar, has already written the verdict in fire across the sky. The people are united, furious, and determined to send these Bangla-Birodhis packing. Krishnanagar will deliver a thunderous clean sweep for Trinamool Congress, and Bengal will reduce the entire BJP to a pathetic 50 or less. Bengal’s victory is inevitable.

On Day 24 of #Sebaashray2 in Bishnupur, that presence was neither symbolic nor episodic, it was deliberate, organised, and grounded in follow-through.

The camp reflected a model of public service where healthcare is delivered not as a distant assurance, but as a lived reality, shaped around the needs of people rather than the convenience of systems. By placing medical support within reach, the initiative reduced those barriers quietly, without spectacle, but with tangible impact.

Bishnupur’s Day 24 reaffirmed what Sebaashray has consistently demonstrated across locations: effective governance is not measured by announcements, but by repetition; not by intent, but by reliability. When service becomes predictable, trust follows and that trust is the most enduring outcome of all.

অতি সম্প্রতি জঙ্গিপুর এলাকার কিছু পরিযায়ী শ্রমিকের উপর বিজেপি- শাসিত ওড়িশা রাজ্যে নানা অত্যাচার নেমে এসেছে। এটা খুবই দুর্ভাগ্যজনক যে জঙ্গিপুরের সুতি এলাকার এক তরুণ পরিযায়ী শ্রমিককে সম্বলপুরে ২৪ শে ডিসেম্বর তারিখে পিটিয়ে মারা হয়েছে। মুর্শিদাবাদে পরিযায়ী শ্রমিকরা ওড়িশা থেকে সন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরছেন। এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনায় আমরা পরিবারগুলির সঙ্গে আছি এবং নিহতের পরিবারের প্রতি আমাদের আর্থিক সহায়তাও পৌঁছে যাবে।

বিজেপি - শাসিত রাজ্যগুলির এই সমস্ত ঘটনায় নিগ্রহকারীদের প্রতি আমাদের নিন্দা ও নিগৃহীতদের জন্য আমাদের সব রকম সাহায্যের প্রতিশ্রুতি রইল।

নিহত তরুণ জুয়েল রানার ব্যাপারে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পুলিশ ইতিমধ্যে সুতি থানায় জিরো এফ আই আর রুজু করেছে এবং ইতিমধ্যে ৬ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। আমার রাজ্যের পুলিশ টিম ওড়িশা গিয়েছে তদন্তের জন্য।

India’s climate is being deliberately poisoned.

Right-wing forces, emboldened by power, are openly attacking Dalits, STs and minorities - through fear, lynching, threats and hate, all under the garb of religion.

When those in power are the perpetrators and reward the protectors of this violence, impunity becomes policy. This is not governance; this is moral collapse.

The steady participation we witness each day is not incidental; it reflects a growing trust in a system that chooses presence over distance and responsibility over rhetoric.

For me, this initiative represents a clear moral choice. When healthcare is made available at the doorstep, hesitation gives way to confidence, and delay gives way to early treatment.

Sebaashray 2 is a continuation of that commitment: to stand with people before illness becomes crisis, and to ensure that compassion is not incidental, but institutional.
