Very exciting!
Just uploaded "Stories from 2045" to Amazon's publishing engine.
The first tangible output from the Economic Singularity Club.
To be published on 22 January.
Woo-hoo!
Agree @AndrewYNg and let’s add executive education on AI to this because it’s my experience that half the time they do not understand the implications of what they ask when it comes to AI projects https://t.co/z7F5b6rtDk
AI+ethics is important, but has been partly hijacked by the AGI (artificial general intelligence) hype. Let's cut out the AGI nonsense and spend more time on the urgent problems: Job loss/stagnant wages, undermining democracy, discrimination/bias, wealth inequality.
Podcast on building AI businesses and AI's societal impact, w/ @GreylockVC Greymatter. Thanks @saranormous for doing this with me! https://t.co/u4Ayyrvbj3
We take for granted that #AI is infallible, private and secure. But do all people who develop and use AI know exactly what they are doing? Are they altruistic, thorough and all-knowing enough to account for all possible contingencies? @AITruthOrg https://t.co/pPtHbJPtn0
Does anyone else get a little chill at this part? "An AI assist also could help commanding officers estimate the risks and benefits of certain combat manoeuvres, even suggesting moves not considered by the vessel’s captain". https://t.co/cTPAhviVuR
If you think countries will agree to bar military apps of AI, think again. China’s plan to use #AI on nuclear submarines. @AITruthOrg https://t.co/rjNBdeOh14 via @SCMP_news
Pretty cool place launching now by an ex-IBMher to exchange ideas, craft best practices on usage and #privacy, and generally get a handle on this thing called #AI and Things 2-4, #ML, #deeplearning, and #cognitive, before they get a grip on us https://t.co/qWvzpuNOO5 @AITruthOrg
Just getting set up to start sharing and collaborating on #ArtificialIntelligence between the public, business leaders and AI practitioners and researchers. This will be an exciting journey! #AITruth
