We are a decade-old collective of organisations from across India. We work to recognise, dignify, and support the lives and livelihoods of waste pickers.
#NowForClimate#NowForInclusion
Every year we take this day as a reminder to take care of the environment surrounding us. This Environment Day, let’s talk about inclusion in our daily lives. We hear them, see them and respect them. Now is the time for action, and for inclusion.
Thousands of children are still deprived of #digitalaccess due to poverty and a lack of resources. This project could help to bridge the #digitaldivide and create equal opportunities in terms of education and future employment.
Every child deserves access to the #digital world.
In today’s digital world, access to technology should be a right, not a privilege.
The Kach Kach Patra KKPKP has submitted a memorandum demanding the launch of a Computer Literacy Chariot to provide digital education to children living in slums in Ahmednagar.
This initiative aims to provide digital education directly to children through a mobile learning vehicle offering:
- Basic computer teducation
- Internet awareness
- Typing and digital skills
- Exposure to online learning and modern technology
For too long, waste pickers m have been left outside the systems meant to protect them, without anyone to help them navigate a world that was not built for them.
This centre changes that. Led by one of their own.
Congratulations to the entire Hasiru Dala and Saamuhika Shakti team

#MayDay is about workers.
#Waste pickers have always played a key role in India’s waste management system, reducing landfill waste, enabling #recycling and saving cities money.
However, their labour remains largely invisible.
