@ruyasmine5 Yea, I feel Chat GPT and other AI software will be a permanent peer reviewer in most aspectsour day to day lives in the future which is what you kinda describe
@RUismail_m Yea, I definitely see this coming before 2030 in my opinion. Cross-device play already is beginning to exist in some games. Perhaps by 2027, we'd have this I think.
@YYZ20607673 Augmented reality stores? I never thought of that, its certainly an interesting idea. Im not entirely sure if I should look forward to that or be concerned but it seems possible

I feel one major change in society in the future will be the shift from using a "search engine" into what Chat GPT calls an "answer engine" where AI browses the web for us and gives us a refined answer from multiple sources

I feel this class's way of analyzing technology introduced me to a new perspective. Im used to tech being spoken as black or white, good or bad, but this class analysed such techs as uber as "the world before" and "the world after". I found that very valuable.
where people look up guides on everything. I don't. which gives a unique experience to watch therefore my friends tell me to play certain games because near nobody does the wacky stuff I say and do. it brings a good laugh to calls that can be as much as 20-30 ppl
#DCIM353McCormick I would say discord being a disruptive tech in allowing for high quality streaming for "average joes" has aided me in being a "content creator". In my friend group, we play lots of video games but I play a lot of games in an old-school fashion in this world
@BoniZachary Hi Zachary I agree because outside of knowing what makes a disruptive technology, disruptive, its key to know the cycle by which said technologies are actually adopted. We didn't just have iPhones plopped into our hands by some magical force, we fell under one of those categories
@DCIMChristine Hi Christine. I agree that Mary Chayko's ideas are key on the test as well, And we should also study the argument between Christensen's and Chayko's theories.
@stevenr_rutgers Hey, steven. I also took the time to constantly recite the 5 criteria of disruptive change. I feel if you get every question correct except this one, its just flat out embarrassing because its the literal main thesis of the class
essentially a streamlined portable computer in your pocket that the average person is able to navigate with zero issues. It can do a lot more things but the gist is it changed how we do things day to day, which is why it fits the criteria of "culture"
#DCIM353McCormick For the upcoming exam, it's most important to know the 5 criteria for disruptive change One of the criteria is culture. Does it change how we live everyday life? The iPhone has, because its evolved how we view phones, from being a device to call people to now
@Isabelle23DCIM Hi isabelle, I like how you chose Tiktok. I would add that other platforms such as youtube are trying to kind of replicate similar techniques as Tiktok with for example youtube shorts. I feel its a strong topic and wish you the best on your project
@dianaoro__ I also chose to write on AI but more about ChatGPT because it feels like its changing so rapidly. I feel robots will take certain jobs as well because of those videos of the AI Robots doing backflips and lifting heavy weights. Its kinda creepy and cool at the same time!
@mollard_riley Hey, I like how you picked mental health for your project. The pandemic felt 5x longer than it actually was for me and I heard a lot of good things about better help during the pandemic. I'm thankful I didn't need it personally however
#DCIM353mccormick For my EDTP project, I will be diving into AI such as ChatGPT. I mainly want to dive into chatGPT specifically and the disruptive vortex of change it will introduce from typing emails, and setting up social media profiles, to even how we google search.
@dianaoro__ I agree in the increase in "social influencers" being a huge change in our society. However, from my experience I mostly only hear about them when they do everything but the right choice. I feel people watch influencers like car crashes: its bad but you cant help but keep looking
@DCIMChristine I agree. There's great friends you meet after highschool and political opinion debates and "winning them" isn't worth it. I don't care what someone believes as long as we go out and have a great time. I feel though this change overall stems from knowing big brother is watching
@aqsaali_RU I like that you brought up online shopping. I can't remember the last time I honestly went to a store in person off the top of my head. Its just so convenient and frankly is becoming the norm of society if not already
#DCIM353McCormick I found an article showing the popularity of Uber in the US and other countries showing its no longer "strange" to get a ride from strangers and may be more strange not to use it in certain countries which is a huge shift in our society. https://t.co/QIgysy1utx
