Queen Latifah appeared at the FQ Lounge and shared the struggle her mother faced to buy a house when the bank refused to lend her money because she was Black
"My mom became a single parent when I was young, and I remember her saving her money, saving up, saving up, saving up on a teacher's salary to buy us a home.
And when she went to get a loan from the bank, with all her good credit and all that, she was denied that loan. She was not denied that loan because she didn't have the right credit. She wasn't denied that loan because she did not have enough money. She was denied that loan because she was Black and she was a woman. That is a problem. At 21, I bought my mother her first house, and I paid for it by the time I was 23, because she deserved it."

Charlamagne tha God: “Donald Trump wasn’t responsible for the loss of the game, but he was responsible for the loss of joy the Knicks fans had been feeling. Donald Trump came here yesterday and sucked the joy out of the city”
NEW YORK: We’re back outside the Garden.
We have approved a ticketed MSG watch party for Game 4. More details soon.
As we prepare to watch together, let me be clear: this is a historic, joyful moment for our city. We will not allow it to be disrupted by violence.
Be safe, take care, and celebrate responsibly.

Lieu: The president is not well. He has tremendous difficulty staying awake on the job. He has repeatedly fallen asleep at Cabinet meetings, at White House events, at a Memorial Day ceremony, and most recently at a very loud NBA game last night.
The White House needs to explain why Donald Trump keeps going to the hospital and taking cognitive tests.
During Barack Obama's historic 2009 presidential inauguration, Denzel Washington was one of the first people to arrive & waited hours to see history
ABSOLUTELY. She didn't let him lie. She didn't let him bully. She stood her ground. When he couldn't take the heat and started to leave, she REFUSED to let him go without calling him out for abandoning his duty to answer to the American people.
EVERY reporter should see this, and take notes!
Karl Anthony Towns has taught me so much about dealing with the loss of my mom 2 years ago. He also donated $5,000 dollars to my moms go fund me when she was battling pancreatic cancer. He is a great human. Me and my family will forever root for this man. So happy for him.
