Yesterday, trying to get Oasis tickets I managed to get to the checkout several times, but every time I got all the way through bank verification, I got a message saying "time limit exceeded". The whole process couldn't have taken me any more than 30s.
Just a reminder, should it be needed, that the man slagging off the United Kingdom is a former reality TV host, who boasted about grabbing women by their genitals, has changed his mind no fewer than three times on the Chagos deal, blamed Ukraine for being invaded, refused to accept the result of a democratic election that he lost, uses social media LIKE A SULKING TEENAGER, taunts his allies with tariffs, and only weeks ago threatened to take over Greenland. If anyone’s damaging the special relationship between Britain and America, it’s Trump - a raging, narcissistic, unpredictable, vicious, vindictive man-child, who holds domestic and international law in contempt, and whose own White House pumps out content that celebrates him as the gangster-in-chief.
He insulted Starmer
He imposed tarrifs
He insulted Sadiq Khan
He lied about London
He insulted UK troops who served in Iraq, Afghanistan
He meddled in UK politics
He launched war ‘on a feeling’
And yet many voices here yelling:
‘Get behind Trump’
What Special Relationship?
Here’s John’s post.
A man with Tourette’s thanking people for their support after a week of global humiliation. A man apologising for hurt he never intended, while refusing to apologise for having a neurological condition he cannot control.
The continued harassment of him by Hollywood for his condition is sickening.
These are the same multimillionaires who scream about inclusion from red carpets and podiums, who clap for the sanitised movie version of disability, but recoil when confronted with the real, involuntary reality of it. They invited a man with Tourette’s into the room and then acted shocked when Tourette’s did what Tourette’s does.
That’s not inclusivity. That’s hypocrisy.
Johnny has shown more integrity and decency in one Facebook post than that entire virtue soaked industry managed all week.
The entire Davidson episode has shown up many elite American “progressives” as being anything but. Indeed their politics has proven deeply hollow, entirely lacking in the empathy and respect they claim is central to the creed. All they have is a performative behavioural code which doesn’t mean much.
Genuinely shameful. The joke is basically nothing more sophisticated than “people with serious disabilities make it up.” That’s before they compare a disabled man, mocked his entire life, to Bill Cosby. Whole thing deserves to become infamous.
Considering the last week, a room full of millionaires mocking a working class caretaker with Tourette’s is not a good look. It is not brave. It is not edgy. It is punching down at a disabled man who cannot control his neurological condition. After everything he has endured, that is not comedy. It is cruelty dressed up as it.
@PollyRendall@DailyMail@TheAcademy John doesn't need to do anything. Educate yourself about his condition before posting this self-righteous bullshit on social media.
Ableist.
