Another Exciting game against a hard working KP team that never quits. Alex Kojoian and Dominic Bertino combine for both Big Red goals. Game goes in the books as a tie but KP wins the shootout to advance to the title game in the Songin Cup vs Walpole. Evan Sawyer solid game between the pipes making some great saves.

We gotta be better and pay better attention to the details out there and Must be able to hold the lead and not give up goals with .37 seconds left!! Must focus and play through our men and be able to finish. Attention to the little details are crucial boys!!! A few set backs but we WILL get there.
Next up Mansfield on Monday.
As always Proud of the boys. Letβs fix these things and move forward for the post season push.

Great job by the boys today against a pesky Wellesley team that clogs up the middle, and hanging a guy hoping to create confusion and take advantage. Boys did a good job staying disciplined and taking advantage of their chances to quickly jump out to a 4-0 lead forcing Wellesley to burn its only timeout. Evan Tetreault opened the scoring on an assist from Shaun Colonna. Less than a minute later Carter Hickey put the Big Red up by two on helpers from Parker Avila and Ryan Shephard. Just 48 seconds later Dominic Bertino made it 3-0 and just 1:58 seconds later Caiden Alberigo pushed it to 4-0. Wellesley as expected battled hard and pulled within 2 to end the 1st at 4-2 North.
Quickly in the 2nd Mathias Destin scored on the PP to make it 5-2 Big Red. At 11:28 of the 2nd Wellesleys Evan Foley put one home to make it 5-3 and thatβs how the 2nd would end. The 3rd period would bring some more hard fought battles along with some tiki tac penalties putting the boys down 5 on 3 but the solid penalty killing of Evan Tetreault and Caiden Alberigo killed it off! Some back n forth and good team defense drove the Big Red to a solid 5-3 Win over Div 1 Wellesley.
Very proud of the boys for battling very hard and hanging tough through adversity. nice job by Christian Guarino between the pipes to help the boys Earn the Victory.
Keep working hard and paying attention to detail boys. We will get there.
Back to work tomorrow and preparing for Foxboro on Wednesday.

Gentlemen we gotta be better. We gave up too many chances in our zone and just did not pay attention to detail the way we need too. Left too many chances in the OZone on the table. We must focus and clean this up heading into the toughest part of the season. Keep working even harder and do all the little things and good things will happen. In the end you got the job done!!! Very Proud of my boys!!

Christian Guerino great between the pipes again.

Good job but much work to be done!! Always Proud of the boys!! Keep it going.

The boys came out strong tonight and weβre not going to be denied! They had a ton of zone time to work with and dominate most of the game. Lots of credit to the Attleboro goaltender who was incredible all game. Rocketeer Captain Alex Kojoian started the scoring at 8:25 a some nice helpers from Captain Jameson Hardy and Nolan Lamonica. The hard work continued as it was the Shaun Colonna show from that point as the high flying sophomore broke through for a natural Hat Trick to help the Big Red finish the 1st period 4-0. Colonnaβs first goal was unassisted but his second came on a nice feed from Evan Tetreault and the third came from some hard working assists from Sophomore defenseman Ryan Shephard and Senior power forward Dominic Bertino as the 1st period ended with the Big Red up 4-0.
In the 2nd period more of the same hard work and puck movement from the boys but the Attleboro goaltender was incredible making some amazing saves to help his hard working team stay the course. After a PP goal on a great shot by Attleboroβs Brody Wolfe the 2nd period ended 4-1 Big Red.
The 3rd period began with the Big Red being relentless and dominating the play having them score 2 more times. Dominic Bertino netted Big Reds 5th goal on some nice puck movement and assists from Alex Kojoian and Freshmen Defensemen Jeff Conley who grabbed his 1st varsity point after being called up to Varsity from JV and he is here to stay!! The hardworking line of Mason Chu, Anthony Malakidis, and Caysen Gagner contributed to the sixth and final goal of the game as Mason Chu made no mistake and buried a rebound delivered on a shot by Quinn Regan.
Will Bachand held down the fort in goal making great saves giving the Big Red the support they needed to pull out the Win!
Still lots of work to be done but we are slowly getting there! Very Proud of this group as they continue to grow as a tight knit Family!!

The boys started strong and dominated most of the play and possession in the Ozone for much of the 1st as Shaun Colonna buried a βPaul Kariyaβ like backhand under the cross bar to start the games scoring. Some tough luck set in and the boys found themselves down 2-1 after one against a tough Taunton team. Just 53 seconds into the 2nd period on a PP Alex Kojoian connected and tied the game on nice feeds from Dominick Bertino and Ryan Shephard. Unfortunately some more erratic play and lack of attention to detail in the 2nd the Big Red found themselves down again 3-2 after two. After some communication in between periods and holding the boys responsible it only took Jameson Hardy 41 seconds into the 3rd to bury a goal mouth pass from Bertino to Kojoian and over to Hardy to tie the game at 3 and get the Big Red going. With 56 seconds left in the game on a text book zone entry Bertino and Kojoian connected again and found Caiden Alberigo high driving through and broke the tie to put the big Red up 4-3 to stay!! The boys showed character and stormed back to earn the Win!! Great job boy. Very Proud of the character to come back.

The boys battled tonight and very Proud of the fight they showed playing solid defense forcing a very tough KP team to earn every inch of the 2-1 OT Win. My boys are working hard and things are slowly coming together. Buying in, learning, and trusting the system and their ability. Still much work to be done but good things are starting to show!! Keep up the good work gentlemen, attention to detail , do all the little things and Good things will happenβ¦
