Moath Kaheel, a 14-year-old boy, lost his eye in an airstrike that hit his family home, killing his father and two of his siblings, while his mother was left paralyzed and his other siblings were injured.
Moath himself suffered severe burns and underwent surgery just to survive.
During the day, he tries to play with his friends, but he feels shy and withdrawn, and at night he faces darkness and painful memories. His dreams are simple: to live his childhood like any other child.
