I tell my children—especially my son—to avoid any car or house that displays this thing. Just like the confederate flag, it’s a white supremacist symbol anyone waving knows exactly what it means and the terror they wanna provoke with it.
The point is just that a home of one's own affords a person a sphere of privacy that a lot of us take for granted, and that homelessness walls its victims off from normal human activity in ways many of us can scarcely imagine. (11/11)
