@vladtepes1970 @bayou700 @BernieSanders “Communism bad”, ok yea sure. Is there not one single aspect we couldn’t implement to fit our speciation that wouldn’t be beneficial? Maybe there isn’t, but you can’t say that for sure; just like with socialist programs. It does t work that way to improve anything.
@vladtepes1970 @bayou700 @BernieSanders ...singular definition or use of a way of doing thing determines how we should and could implement it. Especially when its proven it can be done, it’s beneficial for everyone and society as a whole can improve.
@vladtepes1970 @bayou700 @BernieSanders We can take on certain aspects of socialism, or “social programs” (based on socialist ideology) and then them into something that works for us, for all of us, in some way shape or form. That’s the benefit of being open minded and not assuming that one ...
@vladtepes1970 @bayou700 @BernieSanders You’re sticking to a very specific definition of socialism as well as socialist programs. It doesn’t work like that. As a society or a government we get to determine as well as define what parts of socialist ideology we would like to incorporate into our democracy.
@vladtepes1970 @bayou700 @BernieSanders “Social programs” have their root in “socialist ideology”. Socials@ at its root means to share. We all share a common burden for the betterment of society as a whole. You can not advocate socialism but advocate “social programs” rooted in “socialist ideology”. Nice flex though.
@GrandsRising @bayou700 @BernieSanders Social security is a program run, managed, and paid out by the government. Whether a return or not, it is very much indeed a socialist “ideology” based program in the way it is operated, funded, and maintained.
