Rick Pitino at Louisville was always the motivational factor for John Calipari during first 8 years of his UK time. Once Pitino left UL, Cal did not have that target. From this day forward, the University of Kentucky will become his new motivational target. Just you wait and see.

Prisoner of the times… What a great ambassador to our state and university. Anyone saying “Kentucky is bigger than one coach,” must have forgotten about Billy Gillispie. I’m sure there were some that said the same thing at UCLA, IU, and most recently, UofL.

After meeting with AD Mitch Barnhart, John Calipari will return as Kentucky HC.

This was the right decision. Cal is one of the few coaches that can handle expectations at UK.

The recent early exits are frustrating, but almost every elite coach has had a similar stretch.

Crazy stat! Since John Calipari became coach at UK in 2009-2010, UK has been to the final four more than any other school, even though UK hasn’t been to the final four since 2015.
