Coach Nick Mingione said it was his wife’s idea. She said, “Nick what do you think about Easter weekend… we need to get them on the field with their families.”

“I constantly found myself working a week or two ahead, sometimes it’s six games in seven days,” said Rand on working for the Reds while being a student at UK.

“I let them [his professors] know my dreams are in my hands, I sacrificed my social life my senior year… it definitely paid off and was worth it one hundred percent,” he continued.

“My junior year I applied [to the Reds]… sure enough the process opened again [his senior year],” said Rand on his path to shooting for the Cincinnati Reds. "Thats truly one of those things where anything they asked me to do I was like yeah you got it,” he continued.

“The run that the baseball team went on in 2024… I shot every single game” said Rand on his favortie memory as a UK athletics photographer. “To be able to go on that journey… to tell that story from my perspective is something that I’ll forever remember,” he continued.

“I do whatever’s asked of me to do,” said @EthanRand13 on his start at Kentucky. “My focus at UK was volleyball and baseball while helping out in every other sport,” he continued.

“The younger talent is certainly stepping up,” said Gaudet on the amount of new, young racers climbing the ranks in Nascar. “A great example is Cory Heim… he's not racing full time, but he certainly will be next year,” he continued.
