People love comparing Nigeria to abroad but they ignore the harsh truth: young people here aren’t scared of love they’re tired, broke and overstressed. Abroad, two 19-year-olds can fall in love because the system actually gives them room to breathe. They can work part-time, afford rent, and build something slowly.
Here, you’re fighting the economy, the school system, lecturers, fees, survival and somehow you’re still expected to ‘find love’? Be serious.
Students aren’t morally lost, the country is.
If Nigeria had the same stability as abroad, you’d be shocked at how many wholesome, serious relationships would form. But when you place young people in chaos, you can’t expect calm relationships.
The problem isn’t the students.
The problem is the environment they’re forced to grow up in.
It’s not about energy. It’s about capacity.
You can have energy for distractions and still lack the stability required for real commitment.
Love thrives in safety not chaos.
1. Diversify your income (Never rely on one stream)
2. Spend smartly not emotionally
3. Build strong network
4. Learn how to stay safe
5. Protect your mental health
6. Choose your battles and stay calm
7. Keep learning, keep adapting
8. Build a support system

10. Maintain hope and long term plan.
I’m just here documenting my growth, sharing clarity, and helping anyone who’s trying to think straighter and move smarter.
No noise. No shortcuts.
If my journey aligns with you, welcome.

Respect begins with accountability, not avoidance. Trying to mask unresolved hurt with casual words only deepens the wound. True healing comes when someone owns their mistakes, speaks with sincerity, and chooses honesty over empty gestures that ignore the pain.
There’s this girl I know, let’s call her Tife.
Tife used to be the strong one. The one people called when they were breaking down. The one who always had something comforting to say, even when she was the one bleeding inside.
She did everything “right.” Finished school, got a decent job, stayed out of trouble, prayed, helped her family. But lately… it feels like life has been testing her patience more than her faith.
Every morning she wakes up with this heavy silence. She scrolls through her messages, no one’s really checking on her. Not because they don’t care, but because she hides it too well. She smiles, posts, jokes, works, but the truth is, she’s tired. Tired of being strong. Tired of pretending she’s fine.
Some nights, she cries quietly so no one hears. Then she wipes her face, whispers “God, please,” and goes to sleep like nothing happened.
She doesn’t even want much anymore just peace.
Not success, not attention, not even love. Just peace.
And that’s what people don’t understand, sometimes the strongest ones aren’t trying to win at life anymore… they’re just trying to survive it.
