Such practice will not result in any revenues but only taxpayers' discontent and litigation. I feel some higher IT officials are doing that purposely to build negativity against the faceless assessment regime so that the old bribery era can return

purposely they are sending notices to old addresses, I think CBDT @IncomeTaxIndia should look into this and take action against such corrupt official who are working to incite public against Faceless procedures

I think they are doing this to undermine the faceless assessment procedure so that the old days of bribery can return, In 4 days we have received more than 16 cases where addition is done between 40 L to 1 cr for all cases older than 4 years,
