This piece from @DSanderson_85 is one of the most incredible pieces I have ever read and just shows how much effort the Scottish goverment went to to remain in power and that we the victims and survivors and whistleblowers of child sex abuse in Scotland are so close to getting our truth out about what we suffered at the hands of charities that got away with so much because they went uregulated and were allowed to cover things up for years.

It’s so exhausting that whenever an academic like Sarah Pederton comes out and speaks about the disturbing way people are treated in all these charities in Scotland, they are applauded and even rewarded, but when the victims and survivors and campaigners and whistleblowers find the courage to speak out about being a victim of what is being exposed today in Daniels story they are quickly labelled as mentally disturbed,loose cannons, trouble makers, attention seekers, sympathy seekers, liars, etc, etc, etc and are quickly silenced.

I am one of those people who had their lifes destroyed and I had false allegations made against me by a leading child abuse charity in Scotland I ended up in prison and it wasnt until I was in prison I found out just how big a problem this is and and how so, so many people were being silenced by the same charity and even when we reported to OSCR and the police, nothing was ever done.. Now I have to live the rest of my life with this big concrete slab across my chest that says CRIMINAL.

I have been saying for some time that our time is coming and my truth and all our truths will one day be heard and we will never stop speaking out and when we read stories like this, we know that slowly but surely the truth is finally coming out and one day the right people will end up in prison..

I think the majority of Scots would resist attempts to divide our society, and want to show support to people who have come to Scotland seeking sanctuary and new beginnings.

But there is nothing racist about people questioning at the same time why millions should be spent on free bus travel for asylum seekers. Nearly half the country disagree with the policy and those people aren’t going to come on board if politicians sneer at the public as they lecture them.

People seeking asylum receive limited support for living costs from the UK Government, in the main they are housed centrally within communities and close to any essential services they need to access - if those services aren’t delivered on site. Therefore, it’s completely legitimate to ask what benefit this policy would have and if there is not a better way you could spend money in communities.

If politicians continue to ignore concerns in this area they will actually make life worse for asylum seekers.
