The Common Council extends its congratulations to Mayor Sheehan on her final address! Additionally, the Council wishes to acknowledge the Office of the Mayor staff who worked tirelessly to support such a beautifully executed event.

On Wednesday, January 29th, Mayor Kathy Sheehan presented her final State of the City address. As outlined in the City Charter (Section 302), the Mayor is obligated to "present an annual State of the City message to the Common Council by February 1st of each year."

This year the State of the City address was presented at the University at Albany's Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurship Complex (ETEC) building and was attended by NYS and Albany County legislators, members of the Common Council, city employees, and local stakeholders.
