Some rescues take time. Last December I was in Bali and I met this little dog.

He was one of the sickest I’ve ever come across. He was hours from death.

Things weren’t looking too good in the fields of Bali for little Ziggy.

Bet he feels like the king of the world in his little box now. 🚲

Ziggy not only has a wonderful home but he also has a new sibling and goes for long walks in the forest.

I don’t think anybody could have predicted just how fabulous Ziggy’s hairstyle would become either (7/8)

I got the news in April and he just recently arrived in The Netherlands 🇳🇱

A lovely lady had indeed seen the initial video and made a place in her home for Ziggy. He flew across the world to be with her (6/8)

Ziggy eventually made it back to good health thanks to Desy and her team in Bali.

His fur grew back and he slowly started putting weight back on. But the other half of my wish came true also… (5/8)

1. He would somehow recover

2. Someone would see the video and fall in love with him.

I wasn’t going back to Bali so I hoped the world would work its magic. Luckily it did… (4/8)

I had to leave but our charity partner (Bali Paws) there kept him in the vets. I decided to call him Ziggy as he looked just like Ziggy Stardust I thought.

Ziggy would go on to stay in the vets for 2 months (3/8)

He was barely even recognizable as a dog. I paid for his vet care but to be honest I thought the worst as…

🪱 He had heart worms
🩸 Blood parasites
🦠 Many infections

The only way to save him was a blood transfusion. It didn’t look good (2/8)
