ALM Political Statement on Russia–Taliban Relations
The Afghanistan Liberation Movement (ALM) expresses deep concern regarding the growing political, economic, and military cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Taliban Terrorist.
The people of Afghanistan have endured decades of war, foreign intervention, proxy conflicts, terrorism, displacement, and grave human rights violations. Afghanistan’s modern history serves as a reminder that geopolitical interests of powerful states have too often taken precedence over the rights, dignity, and aspirations of the Afghan people.
Many Afghans remember the devastating consequences of the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan and the immense human suffering that followed. Today, new strategic partnerships with an unrecognized Taliban regime raise serious questions about regional security, human rights, and the future stability of Afghanistan.
ALM believes that lasting peace cannot be achieved through military arrangements, political expediency, or the legitimization of authorities that continue to deny fundamental rights and freedoms. The international community must place the Afghan people—not geopolitical competition—at the center of its policies.
We call upon all regional and global powers to:
•Respect Afghanistan’s sovereignty and independence.
•Reject the use of Afghanistan as a platform for proxy conflicts.
•Prevent support for terrorism and violent extremism in all forms.
•Uphold international law and human rights standards.
•Support an inclusive political future that reflects the will of all Afghan citizens, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or political belief.
The lessons of history are clear: foreign powers may change their alliances according to their interests, but the consequences are borne by ordinary people. Afghanistan deserves peace, justice, security, and self-determination—not another cycle of external interference and conflict.
The fight against Taliban terrorism and extremism on the ground will continue until the people of Afghanistan can live in freedom, security, and peace, under a government that reflects their will and respects their fundamental rights.
We will not surrender Afghanistan future to terrorism, oppression, or foreign interference.

Press Statement — ALM
Afghans inside the country and across the diaspora must unite, organize, and stand in principled resistance against the systematic isolation and oppression imposed upon our nation. Continued silence, fragmentation, and political passivity only embolden authoritarian rule and deepen the suffering of the Afghan people.
The Taliban’s policies constitute a direct assault on fundamental human rights, civil liberties, women’s dignity, freedom of expression, and the democratic aspirations of Afghanistan. Their ongoing repression, exclusionary governance, and disregard for international obligations have pushed the country toward humanitarian, political, and social collapse.
We call upon the international community, democratic governments, human rights institutions, and global civil society to reject normalization of Taliban rule and to uphold international legal and moral responsibilities toward the people of Afghanistan.
History will judge not only the perpetrators of tyranny, but also those who remained indifferent in the face of injustice.

ALM Statement on Afghanistan’s Political Future
ALM acknowledges the recent calls by former Afghan political figures for dialogue within the Afghan diaspora regarding the future governance of Afghanistan. Political discussion and civic engagement are important elements in shaping the country’s future.
However, it is equally important to recognize the realities that led millions of Afghans to leave their homeland. Years of corruption, weak state institutions, political division, and the failure of leadership contributed significantly to the collapse of the former system. Members of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF), along with ordinary Afghan citizens, paid the highest price for these failures through sacrifice, displacement, and loss.
By 2020, the geopolitical priorities of international actors, including the United States and European partners, shifted toward engagement with the Taliban as a pragmatic and low-cost political and security partner in the region. This political transition occurred while the voices and aspirations of many Afghans were sidelined.
ALM believes that Afghanistan’s future cannot be built solely by the Taliban, nor by political figures who previously held power and failed to establish accountable governance. The next chapter of Afghanistan must be shaped by a new generation of Afghans — individuals committed to transparency, justice, national unity, and genuine representation of the Afghan people.
We further emphasize that ALM possesses credible documentation, testimonies, and evidence regarding the responsibility of certain former Afghan political figures whose actions contributed to the current crisis in Afghanistan. Accountability and historical transparency remain essential for any meaningful national reconciliation process.
ALM stands for a sovereign, inclusive, and peaceful Afghanistan where leadership emerges from merit, integrity, and the will of the people — not from foreign interests, political monopolies, or extremist rule.

Subject: Regional Security Warnings and Ongoing Threat Assessment
Between August 2022 and August 2024, ALM – Team A021 delivered multiple classified threat assessment reports to regional states regarding imminent and developing security risks. These reports were physically delivered to ensure direct receipt and to emphasize their urgency and credibility.
Despite these efforts, the warnings were largely disregarded. Among the states that failed to take appropriate action, the United Arab Emirates stands out as a primary example of inaction.
Current developments across the region now reflect the accuracy of those early warnings. The consequences of delayed response are visible, and the opportunity for early mitigation has, in many cases, passed.
We urge all concerned parties to review the remaining projected events outlined in our previous reports. Timely analysis and decisive action may still prevent further escalation and safeguard national stability.
ALM remains committed to serving the national interests of Afghanistan. Our operations are strictly focused on security observation and threat analysis. We do not interfere in the political affairs of other nations; however, we continue to monitor regional developments closely.

Press Release
Subject: Q2 2026 Opium Cultivation Under Taliban Protection
Issued by: ALM_AFG
Date: 16 April 2026
Previous Report: 14 March 2026
On 14 March 2026, ALM_AFG released initial photographic evidence relating to opium cultivation activities for Q2 2026. As of 16 April 2026, we confirm that the cultivation cycle observed in the earlier report has progressed significantly and is now fully visible, as documented in the latest imagery.
Our continued surveillance indicates that the monitored area—spanning several hundred hectares—remains active and operational. The newly obtained images clearly demonstrate the maturation of opium poppy crops, confirming earlier assessments made in our March report.
Based on ALM_AFG field intelligence and ongoing monitoring, these cultivation zones continue to operate under organized protection structures, including armed checkpoints controlling access to production areas. This reinforces our assessment that such sites are not isolated, but part of a broader, coordinated network.
ALM_AFG assesses that Afghanistan is increasingly being consolidated as a central hub in global narcotics production and early-stage distribution networks, driven by large-scale cultivation zones such as the one documented in this report.
The visual material referenced in this update—including high-resolution ground images and aerial surveillance footage—has now been processed and verified. These materials provide clear evidence of both the scale of cultivation and the structured protection surrounding the site.
Access to Evidence
Verified journalists, research institutions, and authorized investigative bodies may request access to the full image set and video materials through official ALM_AFG communication channels.
ALM_AFG conducts independent monitoring and investigative reporting on narcotics cultivation, trafficking networks, and associated protection structures within Afghanistan.

Press Release
Subject: Q1 2026 Opium Cultivation Under Taliban Protection
Issued by: ALM _AFG
Date: 14.03.2026
During the first quarter of 2026, ALM conducted surveillance operations over a large opium cultivation area in Afghanistan. The monitored site covers several hundred hectares and is believed to be one of approximately 50 similar cultivation zones currently identified by ALM field monitoring.
Our surveillance—conducted through both ground observation and aerial monitoring—documented extensive opium poppy cultivation and the operational structure protecting the site. The area is reportedly under the authority of Taliban governor Omari, with three Taliban checkpoints positioned around the cultivation zone, controlling access to the fields and surrounding routes.
The images and video material collected by ALM during this operation document the scale of the cultivation and the security presence in the area. The material is currently undergoing verification, editing, and preparation and will be available within the next two weeks.
During the course of our investigation, ALM also obtained information indicating that a financial deposit from a buyer in Dubai has been made in connection with the production from this cultivation site. This information is currently part of our ongoing investigative review.
ALM conducts these monitoring and investigative operations independently and without assistance from foreign governments, including the United States. Our objective is to identify, document, and expose large-scale narcotics production and trafficking networks, including production hubs operating under armed protection.
Evidence Availability
ALM has secured ground video recordings and aerial surveillance footage of the site. These materials will be made available upon verified request to accredited journalists, investigative organizations, and authorized institutions once the review process is completed.
Requests for verification and access to the materials should be directed through official ALM communication channels.

PRESS STATEMENT – ALM
Re: Circulation of Counterfeit Currency (USD, AFN, EUR, GBP)
Date: 26 December 2025 (Updated with recent developments)
According to a report received on 26 December 2025, our intelligence agency (A021) identified and documented evidence of a large-scale counterfeit currency printing operation located in Pakistan. This facility is believed to be producing hundreds of millions in forged banknotes, including United States Dollars (USD), Afghan Afghani (AFN), Euros (EUR), and British Pounds (GBP).
The intelligence findings, supported by material evidence, were shared with relevant authorities and intelligence communities in the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. Despite the seriousness of the matter and the potential global financial implications, no visible enforcement or corrective action has been taken against the identified facility to date.
As of today, recent media reporting, including coverage by BBC @BBCNews , has highlighted issues related to counterfeit currency in the region. However, narratives suggesting that Taliban forces have intercepted or acted against counterfeit currency smugglers are not consistent with our verified intelligence.
Based on our findings, we have strong reasons to believe that elements within the Taliban are directly involved in this operation. Claims portraying them as acting against such activities are misleading and do not reflect the reality on the ground.
Our internal verification processes have examined multiple samples of these banknotes using advanced currency authentication machines, along with assessments by experienced financial experts. Alarmingly, many of these counterfeit bills pass as genuine currency under standard detection methods. Nevertheless, based on verified sourcing and intelligence, we confirm that these notes are fraudulent.
The circulation of such high-quality counterfeit currency poses a significant and immediate threat to economic stability, particularly within Afghanistan. If left unaddressed, this issue could undermine financial systems, distort markets, and erode public trust in legitimate currency.
We call on the international community to urgently reassess the situation, conduct independent investigations, and take decisive action against all entities involved in the production and distribution of counterfeit currency.

Statement by the Movement for Freedom and National Afghanistan (Tareek Azadi wa Meli Afghanistan)
Today, as the first day of school begins in Afghanistan, we once again witness that for the fifth consecutive year, girls above grade six have been deprived of their fundamental right to education. This deprivation is not only a violation of basic human rights, but also casts a dark shadow over the future of our country.
The reality is clear: the Taliban neither believe in education for girls nor in the right of women to work and participate in society. The continuation of this situation will only hold Afghanistan back from progress, justice, and stability.
To build a brighter future, the people of Afghanistan must stand up against this dictatorship and raise their voices for justice and equality. Silence in the face of oppression is acceptance of it.
The Movement for Freedom and National Afghanistan calls on all compatriots, both inside the country and abroad, to join this movement for justice and stand together in defending the fundamental rights of the Afghan people—especially women and girls.
The future of Afghanistan depends on the will and resilience of its people.
