It takes more than speed and athleticism to excel as a defensive back. Learn to identify splits and stems of receivers to recognize routes before they happen. Certain splits eliminate the possibility of certain routes and gives you an indication of others. #Cheetahs#DBLock#Ap2w
Recruiting is all about having that one school to see your talent. Nobody know who you are or how talented you might be, and then one day it changes. Or it changes once you show them. And then all of a sudden, everyone’s interested.
@coachgcohagan And I don’t mean stats! But the kids you mentioned, you said they have d1 offers so to me these are ya kids who need “help” so to speak. I was tryin to make the point that d1 caliber kids in recent years have all gone d1...if that’s true somebody done their job
@coachgcohagan It’s not respected Bc by-and-large not enough kids show up looking the part again opinion only but to the point on recruiting writers/analysts...most don’t play the sport that said they can and often miss on intangibles/nuances or football IG those guys see numbers only
@ArthurStrahin @coachgcohagan Charleston/Huntington kids can benefit from being more easily accessible to recruit in terms of travel for example....also these kids/parents/coaches do a great job getting out on the circuit during summer...
@billyseals47 @coachgcohagan All respect due...I have to respectfully disagree! We are moving the right direction but just don’t have the numbers yet, IMO. Not every kid is D1...the major services want to identify P5 pedigree. We’ve got to keep working but again going in the right direction
Just got stopped by some officers in Oak Hill City, WV and had the car searched for 30 mins just to be let go with no ticket, no citation and no real reason of being stopped or having the car searched smh.
@AndreLe43177733 Nah same kids meaning...same pedigree but can you keep them together!? That’s what dude did! You wanted to be in blue fr...and later came the success stories but it was them dudes early on that made it mandatory you do it in Laidley
It’s the same kids in many cases, same youth program, feeder schools etc. The question is what’s best for that particular kid...If nothin else what he provided was stability! Can’t much say that now bad as it does hurt too
