1. in 2024 mcdo corporation itself bought back all 225 Israel restaurants from the franchisee. so it‘s not just an independent franchisee decision anymore ✌️ the parent company now directly owns and profits from those stores.
2. mcdo malaysia filed a defamation lawsuit against bds malaysia seeking over $1M in damages, specifically to shut down their boycott advocacy 😂 while also claiming publicly to support palestine. kinda hard to square those two things. so the franchise-autonomy argument doesn't hold up as cleanly as it‘s being presented here.

3. “you‘re just hurting local workers” this is literally the description of how boycotts work. tsaka this is your reason? kim, ppl r dying out there. every boycott in history has hurt workers first if yk nestle, apartheid-era south africa, all of them. that‘s the mechanism, not a flaw unique to this one. saying “it has a cost” doesn't actually argue against doing it, since that's true of literally every boycott ever. the real question is whether the pressure is worth the cost, not whether a cost exists :)
@rose_ward78@Emptyempty86512 SPOILER!! Im pretty sure he will hunt u down immediately if you're in the forest. And it will also initiate a noncon encounter w gwyl
@Halpy_@Sof_Everlasting@Sky76125431 Honestly could see their point bc ghibli films look like it's in-between the lines of anime and the "acceptable" cartoons. Kinda like Doraemon or pokemon. Most of the ppl who watched ghibli for the first time aren't aware it's anime. I even used to think ponyo was a cartoon
@JustC00lGuy@angeloushart I don't think they were going for the simple design in the first place bro they just personally think simple ones are more memorable

OMFG Gehlee finally drew Mizi and Sua from Alien Stage!
@PeriBlitzV2 It's mostly bc that trope more often than not includes the guy being insufferable and hates his wife while the wife is literally getting treated like a maid
