Finally, the boys 4x400, consisting of Niko Koutouras, Ty Edwards, Christian Grassa, and Brendan Sheehan ran a solid time at the NEOITC Blue Division meet that has them on the edge of contention for the all star meet and set a new indoor school record!
In Pole Vault, we’ve seen how off-season work has paid off for Juniors Dom Marinelli and Caden Whittaker, whose 11-6 and 11-0 jumps this winter at Spire have them ranked 15th and 17th overall, both in position to qualify for the all star meet!
Next up is senior sprinter Olivia Lengel, who’s 8.27 in the 60m also has her in the top 24 of the NEOITC. Her consistency has been key, as she has also ran some impressive splits in the 4x200, which has run some very competitive times this winter. @OliviaLengel
Senior middle distance specialist Brendan Sheehan set the school record in the 400m just last week with a personal best 51.89, which also puts him into the driver’s seat to qualify for the NEOITC All Star Meet on February 21.
Leading the way on the track this indoor season is 8th Grader Kaitlyn Warner, whose 60, 200 & 400 Dash set new best-ever marks for Avon Lake Girls indoors. Her 8.17sec 60, 26.94sec 200, and 59.64sec 400 are among the top times for middle schoolers indoors in the state of Ohio!
